Hi guys.. need your help. Kukuha kami ni wife ng car and medyo gulo na utak ko.. Hehehe!! Accent MT crdi sedan or Accent G4 GLS AT?.. If ever kasi first time ko mag gas (if G4 magiging choice ko). Malaking factor yun makina ng accent (CRDI) and diesel pati matagal nako nagdrive ng diesel. pero yun ride/comfort nasa G4 pati yun cvt nya sobrang relax sa driving. If meron familiar sa PMS ng G4 or gas in general paki enlighten ako please. I made a computation sa Diesel VS GAS savings medyo may gap talaga kahit low milage driving hahabulin talaga yun cost. Kaya sa PMS magkakatalo. Yun price pala 10t difference lang in favor of the G4 sedan. TIA

For the price, sobrang bare ang features ng Accent CRDI sedan, especially sa safety. No airbags, no ABS, no EBD, just seatbelts. Fuel consumption lang ang lamang niya. The Mirage G4 wins hands down.

Parang wala pa. They need to retain the premium features for the GLS.

i owned mirage for 3 months and share ko yung experience ko sa unit which is GLS MT. got it for 620k.

    1. FC? you can go as high as 22km/L sa freeway, sometimes 24km/L, that is with loaded trunk and 4 passengers. full tank method.
    2. Steep incline driving? not a problem, steep driving could be charged to experience, di hirap ang G4 kahit loaded
    3. Acceleration? since its the lightest of its class and even a 1.2 engine, mabilis. pero gradual accelaration ako, in the freeway i go 110-120 fluctauting.
    4. Mixed driving you can go as high as 15-18km/L, city driving is lowly 14km/L that's like 20 mins traffic, the longer traffic the lower FC. 15-18km/L is already normal to G4 users mostly mga MPH members, if you go lower, then you have a heavy right foot. any experienced drivers can efficiently drive the km/Li economy ratio regardless of what car/engine type.
    9. its a 3 cylinder engine, more prone to vibration and adopted handling required compared to 4 cylinders, pero pag nakapractice ka na ng apak mo sa clutch, you'll get used to it.
    10. Porma? well honestly mas maporma ang vios and accent, well di ko naman isasali sa beauty contest ang kotse ko, simple look is fine with me, also sedans are looking too common nowadays on the road, you can easily see some vios, city, accent, fiesta sa mga highways.

    some GLS specifics

ABS, dual airbags, 4 speakers, HU touch screen with bluetooth, GPS, radio, DVD, usb input, aux input.
KOS entry, push button start with all 4 door auto lock.
adjustable height on the driver seat.
FOG lamps, Daytime running lights, Front/side/rear airdams
Rear lip spoiler with Led light (backseat Led light still intact)

to experienced drivers, i highly recommend MT to fully maximize G4 what can give, i haven't drove cvt or at but i heard cvt limits the max speed (not sure)

GLX and GLS models have both ABS and dual airbags, GX im not sure na ABS but it has only a driver seat air bag (GX is the taxi variant)

to rca, 1k PMS is change oil and oil filter, same as 5k onwards but as the km goes higher a lot of other checks will be included like 20k pms will have airfilter, coolant change, change oil, disc brakes check. you can go for the Accent Crdi if its the Diesel type, the only car i would buy other than G4. but im only in 620k budget and G4 is what i got. also im an MT person.

if you want to buy a car, stick to your budget, if your budget is out, then magipon ka pa for another go. dati 1.3vios E trip ko, but with a 720k price tag i could buy an ecosport 1.5 but gas car not diesel, sadly i have 600k lang, and seeing G4, back for the buck ang naexperience ko. Di ko trip ang GPS until I used it myself, sa steering wheel may mga volume/mode/cycle buttons. Auto AC control, defogger. Again you can never go wrong with the vios, city, and accent. vios is the most balanced in my experience, where city goes with the most safety, never rode the accent though since personally i always stick to japanese cars. Just remember your budget, yung ibang tao kasi pag nakakita na ng maganda yun naiiba na desisyon, buy what you can afford and wag manghinayang kung ano meron ang iba. bnew yan and its yours di ba :D

Also if you have some more questions, better drop by sa MPH, sorry to endorse this, but most of the experts are there and years old na mga mirage nila, so they can guide you the info about G4 or HB.

GLX is the bare unit, it has power windows in the front seats, pawis windows in the back seats, chromium grilled, no fog lamps, no DRLs.

just to clarify walang ABS ang GLX, but still goes with the dual airbags, the interior is more or less the same, walang touchscreen unit like GPS and the likes.

GLX is those who are care enthusiast na mahilig mag upgrade ng exterior and interior features. or who has less than 600k budget.

other than that mechanical side all are the same, if you have the time and thoughts of upgrading for your own taste, go for GLX, GLS is user ready na.

that being given, mitsubishi has narrowed down their cars to GLX and GLS variants. i mean any model under their name, GLX being the bare unit while GLS is the top variant they can offer.

Mitsu also offers a GX variant and only available in color white. They are targeting the taxi and fleet market with this variant.
Steel rims (silver color) with no cover. All Manual windows. 1-din radio. But at least still with cloth upholstery (not vinyl).

Nakuha din namin ng 620k yung M/T G4 GLS namin (discounted price), this was back in February 2014. Naturally, mas mahal na siya ngayon.

Planning to buy this G4 po, baka this week kapag naipon ko na yung target na pang down ko makuha ko na yung unit waiting nalang sakin yung Casa to release the unit. G4 GLS CVT yung kukunin ko top of the line daw sabi ng kausap ko na Agent.
