Yun ang press release nila sa media na Euro 5 plus STP pa, based on what I read on a car magazine's website. Either way ayon sa VW maganda naman yung quality ng diesel natin kahit yung Euro2.

Seaoil now carries Euro 4 gasoline, Euro 5 diesel fuels
By Patrick Everett Tadeo — 24 Oct 2013

Seaoil now carries Euro 4 gasoline, Euro 5 diesel fuels

Seaoil, the Philippines' largest independent petroleum company, is now carrying Euro 4 and Euro 5 fuels, making it one of the few local oil companies that have adapted to the emission standard that is scheduled to be implemented by the country in 2016.

This was revealed by Seaoil Philippines president and chief executive Francis Glenn Yu at today's launch ceremony of the petroleum company's partnership with the STP brand of fuel additives.

"All our fuels are either Euro 4 or Euro 5," said Yu when asked if Seaoil carries Euro 2 fuels. "The Philippines is only Euro 2 because that's the minimum or base fuel quality required by our country."

We asked the petroleum company's marketing director, Art Cruz, what the Euro 4 and 5 products are, and we were told that Seaoil's gasoline products--Extreme 97, Extreme 5 and Extreme U--are now all of Euro 4 quality, while the company's Exceed diesel is Euro 5.

Let's hope more oil companies follow Unioil and Seaoil's lead in going all Euro 4 across all their products without having to be told by the government.

Sa website nakalagay na they put proprietary additives making their fuel euro 4 and 5. I still dont believe just adding additives make the sulphur dissappear in fuels. If thats the case sana matagal na nakapag eu4 ang shell and petron. Parang marketing lang.

i posted this sa "seaoil extreme 97" thread. I'll just quote myself nalang. of course euro3 is still better than euro2.
Technical masyado yung article. Ginamitan ng mga marketing terms. Euro5 "performance". Pero they did not say na euro5 talaga. Sa FAQs, naka lagay talaga na euro3 standards formulated to perform as good as euro5. Mukhang updated naman FAQs nila kasi nakalagay na din yun STP.

Yung gas naka declare talaga euro4 standards
Euro3 diesel ng Seaoil. Nasa FAQs ng website nila.

SEAOIL fuels are, on their own, top-of-the-line when it comes to octane rating. Also, our gasoline products, EXTREME 97, EXTREME 95 and EXTREME U comply with Euro 4 standards. Our EXCEED Diesel complies with Euro 3 standards and is formulated to perform as good as Euro 5 diesel.

Have your egr blanked by Zix and you won't have any problem using Euro2 like Petron Turbo.

Also eu5 doesnt mean good. Parang langis lang yan. Ci and cj or low saps oils doesn't mean good for all engines. Okay siya for engines with cat and dpf pero id rather use a high detergency oil for vehicles without. Sa low sulphur fuels masama din ang sobrang tuyo due to lack of sulphur. All for mother nature kasi yan

may 2T naman to add lubricity. pero for now, lets enjoy muna the offerings of the gas stations. at least meron tayong euro2,3,and 4 options

maganda nga lubricity ng euro2, kaso trade off yung smoke and carbon build up.

Okay ang euro 2 for vehicles without dpf and cat. Dapat coupled with high detergency oils. Euro 4 I think is a big leap from 500ppm to 50ppm. Euro 5.....hmmm not all people know the wonders of 2t and other lubrication additives. Well I hope their 'proprietary additives' do the job of lubricating the fuel system....

    Hi,
I'm a new MS owner. I've been following this forum for the last 2 months and back tracked reading from page 1. This forum is so helpful esp for the beginners. Great inputs from various MS gurus/experts.

I have read in one item here about the whistling sound when in fast pace. It says that it is the sound of the turbo. I encountered this when i turned off my radio and cruising the NLEX around 120-140. I heard a strong whistling sound na parang you are in front of the electric fan. My wife immediately checked our windows are open or the circulation vent is direct from external. Both are ok.

Would like to check from the gurus here if that strong sound like the wind blowing is really the sound of the turbo?
    TIA.

is it really loud? possible boost leak ba? (any loss of power, i.e. ano rpm at that speed), normal lang if faint sound and medyo unnoticeable.
