For the Montero its either you use the element type Fuel Filter or you use the Spin On (BF7535)
By visual inspection if the fuel filter is painted, like the picture below:

then you need the element type.
Heres something I have learned the hard way.
The Montero having the Spin on type fuel filter best fir for it is the BF7535, the BF7534's gasket is too thick which doesnt allow the filter to thread all the way.
Adventure, L300, Strada, L200, - uses the BF7534 fuel filter.Fits like a glove.
heres a photo of a BF7534 installed on a Adventure:
This is based from clients that i have served filter for, I learned it the hard way cause some clients i have having the Montero, I sent the BF7534, then during fitment it wont fit, (gasket being too thick) then exchanged it with BF7535 it fitted like a glove. Another customer I had from Tarlac, having an adventure, i sent BF7535 thinking that the adventure and the Monty have the same 4D56 engine, again a NOGO, BF7535 wont even thread. So i ended up exchanging the BF7535 for a BF7534.
Its a little confusing specially if you are basing it on whats noted on the specs, even J-s filter website suggests a BF7534 for the 4D56 engine, its not entirely innacurate as the Adventure, L200, L300, Strada uses the BF7534.

What kind of matting do you use for the third row? Nakabili na kasi ako for the front and second row and yung 3rd na lang kulang. Iniisip ko yung mga rubber matting na nilalako sa Banawe and sila na nagpuputol. Ok kaya? Ganun kasi ginamit ko dati sa 2nd row ng Pajero ko and ok naman.
