Depende sir sa ahente ng insurance. After ma kompleto ang requirements, usually 3-5days bago i release ang LOA.

pinuntahan ko na mismo ung adjuster sir pra inspect napasa ko na din kanina lahat ng requirements ko.kinausap ko na din casa sched na bukas for detailing kahit wla pa loa kunwari cash pero pagdating ng loa insurance na din bayad.

Share ko lang experience namin with regard to flooded cars. Two times na kaming minalas na daanan ng baha. Malapit sa ilog kasi bahay namin dito sa West Visayas kaya sanay na kami sa baha. Pero iba talaga kapag bagyo ang may dala ng baha! Sobrang taas kaya ayun, nag-submarine kotse namin ng dalawang beses.
First instance, walang Acts of God na clause yung insurance namin kahit na comprehensive insurance sya. So sa madaling sabi, kahit anong pakiusap, wala kaming nakuhang coverage sa repairs. Silver lining nalang that time, bago palang unit namin kaya maganda pa sealing ng joints/bearings and electricals. Kaya interior cleaning, engine wash, change fluids and bought new Computer box lang damage. Mga motors ng doors, wipers and the like ok pa. CD changer/radio pinalitan but speakers were ok. Toyota Avanza pala unit namin.
We learned our lesson so we bought insurance with Acts of God coverage. Lo and behold, inabot kami unit ng baha! Submarine ulit si Avanza. Since Christmas break pa that time, one week inabot bago kami napuntahan ng adjuster ng insurance. Three days later pa bago hinatakak papuntang shop. To shorten the story, five months kami inabot bago naiuwi namin unit!
Lessons learned are :1) insist sa casa ipadala unit. Not sa accredited nearby shop. We chose the nearby shop kasi ang nearby casa is 4 hours away. Casa is best kasi madaling makakuha ng parts. Dun kami nagtagal. Ang parts acquisition.
2) for severely damaged car, take note of insured value of the unit and ask the adjuster/casa/shop estimate of cost of repair. Kapag malapit na sa insured value ng unit, you can already insist to claim "total wreck " na ang unit and you can claim the insured value less adjusted depreciation costs. Eto dapat ang hinabol namin pero parang may collusion ang shop namin at ang adjuster kaya ininsist nila na pwede pa iparepair unit namin.
3) check the parts that they will be replacing the old parts with in your car personally. Baka hindi OEM/original ang replacement parts. Dito siguro maganda talaga pag sa casa nga nagparepair para mas sure na orig parts.
4) make a thorough checklist of damages to be repaired/replaced. Better to take photos of noted damages to be repaired/replaced and make sure na inform mo ang adjuster and casa/shop about the checklist. Next is to have them agree with the checklist. If hindi na knowledgeable sa paghanap ng problems (like me), hanap ka ng kakilala na may alam. Actually, ang ginawa ko was to ask the adjuster & the shop kung ano ang standard checklist nila ng repairs then nagpatulong ako sa kakilalang marunong mag check to confirm their list and add our own findings. We then talked with the adjuster and shop to add our findings in the repair list. At important, make sure that the items in the list are done!
5) once repaired, ask for reasonable warranty for the repairs done. Ako one year for some and two years for other repairs ang nakuha ko.
After finally driving home our Avanza, we decided to sell it immediately 3 weeks later and got our MS GLS V. So far so good! Actually better than good! Hehe.
We're praying that we don't go through the same occurrence again!

Sa pagkakaala ko may nag past post ung isang tsikot member which i think realted recall. Gusto ko sana makita uli ung post nya to confirm na related ito recall kasi may pics sya ng problem and as i far as remember sa story nya muntik na siya maaksidente sa nlex. Hirap mag back read kasi dami tread ng ms.
