I suggest try canvassing at Mindanao Tirehaus along Mindanao Ave (across shakeys, past tandang sora/st.james)... nasa P 4,800 per tire ang Westlake 265/65/17 nila pero di kasama tingga. I been buying tires from them maybe 2-3 years now... agressive din sila mag ads sa olx. Ok naman Westlake brand... kahit china... its one of the better quality ones... ilan set na nabili ko for various vehicles namin (ive been buying this brand since 2009 and my friends have been buying & using them longer than i have... good feedback naman palagi). Matagal din mapudpod and matibay din plus its a brand also marketed in the US with DOT approval. Hope this helps. Mahal kasi SUV tires lalo na pag branded.

Any suggestions on what tire to get and where? Preferably pwede credit card, and if possible instalments.

No need for fancy tires. Yung tatagal lang. Mostly used for city driving lang naman. Thanks!

I have Yokohama Geolandar H/T G056 installed on our 2013 montero and 2010 fortuner last year. We got the tires in S&R for about 9,500 each (that was October last year). Yes, they do accept credit cards for the tires. My fortuner has travelled about 25,000 kms (mostly city driving) since I changed the tires and I'm impressed with how the tire wears out evenly in spite of the many corners and sharp turns it makes. I replaced my montero's stock tires with the G056 and it made me appreciate more the montero's ride.

I am currently looking for an alternative brand for the montero 2013 fuel filter.

Instead of the Mitsubishi original fuel filter, anong brand (and their corresponding part no) ang pwedeng pampalit?

I recently tried Vic F-193 (labelled for Toyota innova). But it would not fit perfectly. Medyo maluwag compared as orig.

i just tried asking for vic f-196 from 4 to 5 auto supply shops. none of them had it in stock. im surprised considering ang daming montero sa kalye.

^ mag bosch or baldwin oil filters ka na bro. It's A bit more expensive but they're definitely both more of a quality product naman compared to vic oil filters.

Recently got the fuel filter change at a nearby caltex station. They were able to use the F-193 I bought earlier. Dinaan na lang sa matinding pihit para mag-tighten ang fuel filter container para di mag-leak.

I bought mine F-196 in Petron where i did my oil change.

Got another question re Check Engine Light.

Mine has been going ON / OFF intermittenly. Then for mga 2 to 3 months na naka ON all the time.

Changed oil about a month ago, then fuel filter a week ago. Still ON ang CEL.

Naka unioil naman ako most of the time. Sometimes CALTEX or PETRON.


Bought also mga OBD2 scanners. The cheap blue ELM scanner, Autel MS309 scanner (mga mas mura) & BAFX bluetooth scanner (from amazon).

All 3 scanners says my check engine light is OFF and there are no errors. But the CEL is ON.

Anyone bought a scanner that worked well with Montero in general ? Also, where can i have it scanned aside from CASA ?
