Yan ang dapat abangan! Who knows maybe Mitsu might introduce it in the coming models. I'm praying that Mitsu will also update the tail lights to LED. And slightly tweak the VGT 4D56 so that it would not feel weaker that the 3.0s of Toyota and Ford

I highly doubt mitsubishi philippines would be inclined to adding that feature to the 2012 monty. not only would that make the monty a cheaper version of the pajero (because with the MATSC would in essence make it a cheaper Pajero literally), but that would bump up their production costs by quite a number. The reason they opted to put the 2.5 liter VGT D-iD engine is because production for the 2.5 liter engine is much cheaper than making a 3.2 liter powerplant. Simple as that. And despite the savings they got on that end, the Monty's pricing remained pretty much the same, didn't it? that just meant more income for Mitsubishi.
The reason why other countries have better specs on vehicles is simply because they have higher standards than the philippine market. the ralliart lancer ships in the US with the very same recaro bucket seats as the evo while our local ralliart lancers just goes with the normal seats in that of the Lancer EX GTA models. if im not mistaken, even the engine cover of the USDM ralliart lancer is the same as that of the evo (with red paint), but the philippine model doesn't even get that. given the mitsubishi has the tendency and history to exclude and get scgroogy on simple things such as engine cover paint, i would highly doubt they would go the extra mile and add MATSC or any active stability control especially on their cash cow. The monty sells like pancakes even without this feature. Same goes with the Fortuner and other sellable SUVs in this bracket. Less marketing efforts are needed because even without advertisements, they need not force these down our throats. People will buy them and sales figures are expected to be high.
Visited diamond motors vv today and my SA confirmed that the new Monty model will only feature minor upgrades of paddle shift, aircon, etc.
These minor upgrades will jack up the price to about 35K more. No worries to those who just purchased their monty's.![]()

Hi friends, went to Mitsubishi today and checked the 2012 GLS-V and GTV. Thinking of canceling reservation at Toyota and get a 2nd GTV. The GLS-V emblem looked more classy and sturdy, nakahiwalay yung chrome sa red letter V. Also checked it's 5 speed and agent confirmed this.
The GTV front emblem is different. It's thicker and more solid. 2011 GTV medyo flimsy and could easily be stolen. They also placed a chrome thingy in the side turn lamp area. Ive taken photos but I dunno how to upload using forum runner.
Good day to all!
It seems that everybody is talking about the GLS-V upgrades. Can someone kindly post the upgrades of the GTV? TIA
bought a GLS-V last july...what hurts most is the 5 speed AT upgrade....![]()
Actually sir prez, I test drove the Fortuner V last week at the Toyota caravan at the fort. I have a non-biased and very sane comparison na nga tho incomplete pa since I haven't driven sa sctex yet. There are many things the Fortuner offers that Monty lacks and vice versa. But all in all, they are both cool babies!
