Compared to GTV, wala ding Tire pressure monitoring system at reverse cam ang GLS V, according to casa abutin daw ng 40thou kung papakabit mga ito.

I'm already on my 1k. What oil should I use up to the next 5k PMS? I've read some previous discussions about what oil to use but I am still a little bit confused with some details. Sorry for this question repeat. I am planning to bring my own oil because I've read that it is cheaper and wiser
1. Which is better oil to use for my 1k PMS- Fully Synthetic or Mineral? What Grade? Brand that you will recommend? Why?
2. Where to buy? sorry for being such a new to these things.
3. Other things I will do/ask on my 1k PMS with the mechanic.

I will use my montero for the the next mileages more on highway driving (Baguio, Pagudpud, Zambales, Etc.. )

Sabi sa kasa kailangan synthetic oil ang ilagay so nasa sa u na yan kung susundin mo. Kung synthetic oil ang nilagay sa 1k pms sir hindi na kailangan palitan sa next 5k pms mo top up na lang yan, sa 10k pms ka na mag-change oil.

If you are planning to bring your preferred oil, check first with your dealer, peak motors now are not allowing that anymore(panis naman sila so okay lang huwag na sa kanila). Sa klase naman ng oil, for me para masulit mo yung full 10000kms ng fully synthetic, sa 5000kms ka na mag fully syn. Kasi if magpafully syn ka na ngayon*1000kms, sa 10000kms magchange oil ka na ulit, bale 9000kms tinakbo ng langis mo. Sa 5000kms, ang next change oil mo is 15000kms, so full 10000kms tatakbuhin ng langis, mas sulit. Plus my trusted SA adviced to use fully on the 5000kms pms

hi tsikoteers. i need your advices. ok pa rin ba kumuha ng unit sa union motors paco? i have read lots of horror stories from that dealership. so far kasi, sila yung merong mabibigay na color na gusto ko. but i am having second thoughts. kung pangit pa rin kumuha sa kanila ng unit, i'd rather wait from other dealers. your thoughts and replies are highly appreciated.

Planning to use a synthetic din nung magpapa 1K Kms PMS, either Royal Purple or Mobil1 plus a Baldwin filter, pwede daw sa diamond q ave panu magdala ng sariling filter and oil. But when I browsed the royal purple site they don't recommend putting synthetic before 14000kms sa diesel engines something to do with the longer break in period ng diesel engines. Did some Internet search and nag post ng questions sa "Royal Purple" thread dito sa tsikot. Finally decided to use mineral oil muna up to 10k. Royal Puple and speedyfix (seller ata sya ng RP sa RP thread ng Tsikot) must have good reasons not to recommend synthetic para sa new diesel engines, biruin mo madamidami ring silang income na mawawala, aside pa dun sa mga nabasa ko sa web although dapat selective Ka din sa mga info sa Internet sites.

Currently using Mobil Delvac MX 15w-40 (CI4 rating) and a Baldwin b28 filter. Read somewhere that engines with egr mas maganda na CI4 rating oil gamitin, 15w-40 dahil pasok sya sa recommendation ng mitsu para di void warranty mo, Mobil dahil sya yung una kng oil nakita na 15w-40 na CI4 rated. Sa mga ace hardware Meron but I find it cheaper sa labas by a cuouple of hundreds. parang happy na nga ako sa ganitong setup, having second thoughts Kung shift ako sa synthetic come the 10K Kms. Medyo bantayan mo LNG oil change mo tapos hingin mo yung used filter and oil, ilagay kamu sa container Nung dala mong oil and kng wala ka pang engine undercover, palagay ka, free yun, yung unang batches panu ng monty 2012 di nila nalagyan, parang kulang sa stocks. Yng sakin nalagay pa nung 5K PMS wala bayad may pipirmahan ka lng. Hope this help, BTW Iam no mechanic/engineer and Iam in no way telling you na tama yng sinasabi ko dito, better ask someone knowledgeable and do a little bit of your own reading so that you can decide for yourself

well i have a problem with my monty, right now its in the casa waiting for the engr's of mitsubishi, because of the black smoke it produces during accelaration and also a white smoke when starting it in the morning. the problem was noticeable when we went to ilocos last weekend. the milliage was just 8000k. and also at low rev's it jerking. any one who also experiance this problem?

Sir butchyboy, share ko lang sonething about engine oil, i shifted from oem fully syn oil to mobil 1 TDT 5w-40 fully syn oil, ang laki ng itinahimik ng engine. I am not going back to the turbo xp from mitsu, Stick nako dito sa mobil1 TDT

Mobil 1000, 2000 at 3000 lang kasi yung ibang andun, even the Mobil TDT and Delvac wala. Saan po ba nakakabili non?

Anyway, I follow the advice given by Sir Zix (as usual ) and sir butchyboy.
I did mineral for the 1k PMS then will go Fully Syn on the 5k PMS. With my own research and point of view, I agree with this.

Total Expense (1st PMS) = Php 2,850

Castrol GTX Diesel 15w40 - Php849/4L x 2 = Php1,698 (Own Oil)
Oil Filter - ..............................................= Php 1043
Etc - .................................................. ....= Php 109

Yes sir less than 7liters sa 4d56 vgt. Yung se na 4m41 9liters. Malaki nga natipid ko kasi muntik na se nakuha ko eh, buti nakapagwait pako at gtv nakuha ko

mga sir, ask lang po may 3.2 ba ang Montero V? kasi kanina dinikitan ako ng VGT Montero..walang GLS-V or something sa likod basta VGT lang nakalagay. sobrang bilis..tapos 160kph na speed ko pero kanya may hatak pa..biglang nagovertake kahit moderate traffic lakas lumusot..nagovertake sa Nissan Navara and guess what? eat my dust si Montero kay Navarra..hahaha as in walang laban..iniwan ko na lang silang 2 nagkarera...

Strada 2.5 GLS po gamit ko.. kahit po ba same 2.5 ang Strada at Montero, malaking deperensya ba if VGT ang isa?
