were you able to fix the squeeling sound of your steering wheel?

I would like to address an inquiry to all mitsubishi montero sports gtv owners.
I purchased my montero sports 3 months ago. Last week, I heard a squeeling sound on the steering wheel as I turned it left to right. The sound will only come out after driving 10 minutes or so.

I have read one reply on this thread complaining of the same problem, and that person mentioned that he changed his rack and pinion. This however in his case did not solve the problem. There are no continuing threads to see if he has resolved it.

I am writing to this forum to see if anyone has encountered this same problem and has found the problem and effective solution. Hoping for an experts advice and guidance.

They also charged me for the foul the smell of ac. Aircon matic ang tawag. Its like a nebulizer. Ilalagay sa blower ng aircon then circulate for about 15 mins. So far nawala na foul smell sa aircon.

Hmmm... Sang casa ba yan sir, ganyan ata talaga sa most mitsu casa, unlike sa honda automatic lilinisin ung kotse unless kaw mismo nagsabi na wag. Anyway, mas ok naman sir na sa labas mo palinis yan, kasi magkakaroon lng ng maraming swirl marks pag sa casa pinalinis, usually kasi mabilisan pag linis nila and ung mga gamit panglinis sobrang luma at madumi na. But if may mga bakat ng grease sa loob ng auto ibang usapan na yan, reklamo mo na sa SA yan.

need help regarding my vehicle alarm.

just noticed recently, the default setting of my alarm is that after disarming it using the unlock button on the key, and going inside and locking the doors with the door-lock inside, blue led light lights up and you can't start the vehicle. even when the key is placed in the ignition slot without turning, blue led lights up, if you lock the doors before starting the engine.

sequence has to be, disarm using unlock button on the key, start engine then lock the doors. instructions in the car manual as well as in the alarm manual seem to be a little complicated.

can't seem to lock the doors without activating the alarm again before starting the vehicle after you disarm it. any corrective suggestions? thanks a lot in advance.

Sir what you can do is to Start the engine first before manually locking the door otherwise wait for the door to automatically lock itself. Medyo nakakainis nga to sir pero ganito talaga ung design ng security alarm ng mitsu. Nagreklamo na ko sa mitsu pero ganun daw talaga. Another disappointment for me is ung wala syang button for the automatic window up , pero meron namang automatic window down button, useful pa naman un specially pag nagbabayad ng parking and toll fee.

Exactly! Lets just live with it na lng for the meantime until someone finds a good remedy for it

I totally agree sir. I cant stay inside the vehicle and lock it if the engine is off. If I do lock it, I would eventually trigger the alarm when I decide to exit the car or start it.

This happened to my mom when she drove our monty
Ugali kasi nya na mag lock immediately when stepping in the vehicle. Ayun ayaw magstart. Galit na galit kala nya the unit was defective. Nung pinuntahan namin naka engage pala alarm kaya ayaw magstart kahit anong pilit.

Guys may nakaexperience na ba sa inyo na mabaho amg aircon pag unang bukas lets say magdamag d ginamit? Practice ko kasi when i turn on the blower, naka off muna yung A/C button (katabi ng defogger button) andcthen after a minute on ko na A/C.

Napansin ko kasi parang ang baho ng unang buga ng hangin from the vents parang amoy basang carpet then pag naka on na A/C nawawala naman din kagad. Iniisip ko lang d kaya parang may nababasa sa loob ng aircon unit ko?

If your monty is already close to 2 years old, its possible that it would already need aircon cleaning. When there is already dirt accumulation on the evaporator, water cannot be expelled properly. The dirt accumulation remains damp and wet inside which would cause the foul odor when you switch the aircon on. Just my opinion.

Sir naginstall ka na ba ng a/con filter? If not yet might as well install one, it will help prolong the life of your a/con. Pacheck mo na yan sir sa casa. Mine is a month old pero never experienced that naman.

I actually experienced almost the same thing. I went through a portion of NLEX where white smoke was pretty think along the road (coming from the nearby fields). Even if the air circulation is set to for inside the car only, i can still smell the smoke coming from the outside.

Anybody experienced this? What was your remedy?

ive already experienced this as well in SLEx naman, i think normal lang naman pero the smell should not be to strong as if your a/con was set to take an air outside. pero let's wait pa din sa reply ng iba

Aside from installing an aircon filter na may activated carbon, Naglagay ako dehumidifier/deoderizer; Kiss na brand gamit ko kaso pink color, napupuno sya mga 2-3 mos. mas OK kesa bumili ka airfreshener since may nacocollect na gel like substance sa filter pag airfrshener gamit ko. Previously having problems with the smell nung undercoating, actually yung aircon filter ok na
