    hi! it's good to be back in tsikot and posting in this forum!

    we (my family) have recently acquired a Sedona red 2012 GLS-V 4x4 m/t. it's is a used unit though with 81,000 kms on the odo. i have driven it for the past 3 days and one thing i instantly liked about was the power. ang bilis ng acceleration! reaching 120 km/hr through a stretch about 300 m long was something i was not used to in our previous rides hehe. anyway we were very happy with the ride, and my mom was specially happy about the ride comfort.




    Meron lang po akong mga observations and questions na baka may makasagot po hehe:

    1. the steering is specially heavy. is there something we can do to improve it?

    2. the sound quality is good but not excellent when compared to maybe a pioneer HU. our previous sound setup employs 2 pioneer seps at the back and 2 Targa seps in front and a Pioneer Touch screen HU. i think it is a little bit better than the stock of the monty. i here that our stock HU is an AVT?

    3. i think the TPMS sensors are not placed/connected in their proper arrangement. i think that the 2 tire pressured displayed on the MIS the readings for the front tires are actually the readings from the rear tires, based on the readings from the Shell water and air station (the digital one). also i think that two sensors are either not connected or damaged as you can see in the pic. is there a fix for this?



    4. the MIS displays my FC during city drive is only around 5 km/L at worst and 7km/L at best. during highway drives, the FC is up to only 8-9 km/L. is this reading accurate? if yes, ano kaya ang problem? i have read something about EGR and SCV cleaning/reprogramming though i have not done enough research on those.



    5. Palaging naka on ang LED light ng alarm system grrr. is there a way to turn this off? or maybe to "reset" it so that it turns off when the car is running and only blink when the security system is armed?

    ^ i'll try ro answer some of your questions bro

    medyo mabigat talaga iyong power steering ng monty. i'm not sure why pero masasanay ka na lang din and in time you won't really mind it

    the avt head unit is really sucky. even though there's a lot of adjustment options it offers, i'm sure your previous pioneer hu will still produce a more refined audio output

    the mis measured fuel efficiency calculation isn't really reliable. iyong old style full tank-ubos method ay mas reliable pa din

    and about your alarm led that's always lit, i think naka valet mode iyan. there's a red button underneath the dashboard near the lefthand side (or left leg side) w/c serves as a switch. if i remember correctly you have to depress the button for 5-10 secs while the ignition is in the on position. pero confirm mo muna w/ the other monty owners just to be sure

    2500rpm kumikick yung turbo . Yes pwede yan, Palagyan mo ng volution turbo timer. Pm mo si sir zix.

    Based on the below chart, turbo kicks in at around 1500-2000 RPM. My unit is MT and EGR blanked. Unfortunately, I don't have data before I had my EGR blanked.

    i think nasa 2000 rpm onwards kapag non vgt. pwede mo palagyan ng turbo timer but turbo timer have nothing to do sa pag kick-in o spooling ng turbo. it's function is just for you to preset a given time kung kelan mag-off ang makina allowing the turbo rotation to slow down and cool off bago i-off makina. instead of a turbo timer, better yet throttle controller na lang ikabit mo para gumanda response pag-apak mo ng gas pedal. it will lessen considerably yung turbo lag and mas ma-enjoy mo lalo magmaneho di na sluggish lalo sa arangkada...

    Yes useful yun. Pag nagpa egr blank ka hindi mo na need ipalinis yung egr. Pag madumi kasi yung egr ayan ang cause ng CEL. Pansin ko lang mas responsive yung engine ,less soot and mas maaga nagsspool yung turbo.

    Help! i was travelling to davao the other night while my cousin noticed na hindi umiilaw ang brake lights ko. When i checked, hindi nga, all three. And pati rin ang license plate lights hindi umiilaw, which i am sure na ok pa ang bulbs kasi kakaplit ko lang ng white leds. Im pretty sure this is an electrical connection problem (kasi bihira magsabay na ayaw umilaw all four lights) but which to troubleshoot?? I checked the stop light fuse, ok naman. Baka may connection kayong nalalaman na baka accidentally kong nagalaw. Tia

    If the license plate lights are not turning on when the other four park lights are turned on, it should be the connection of the new LED bulbs to the sockets or the bulbs themselves.

    If the brake light fuse is indeed okay, then check the micro switch that is engaged when you press on the brake pedal...

    The leds are rated at 12V 5W. Same lang sa old lights. Im curious if possible kaya masira :curious: . icheck ko po ngayon, thanks sir cvt.
