Kinda worried with my 3 day old GTV. Talagang mausok siya compared to my Fortuner. Is this normal? Gray smoke naman sya pero nasanay kasi ako sa Fort ko na parang auto lang.

good day guys.. i think may problema ang alarm ko.. unit is a month old gls-v a/t with 500+ kms (di masyado gamit) so mga 2-3 weeks pa bago madala sa casa for 1k pms;

a week ago, pag-off ko ng engine sabay bukas naman ng kasama namin ng trunk door. what happened was tumunog ang alarm nya. do ko alam ang cause, baka kako nataon lang. 2 days after while parked sa garahe, bigla tumunog ng 4 chirping sounds, continuous sya with about a 3-second interval. so i turned off the alarm pero pag inilock ko ulit tunog na naman sya. then kahapon nakapark lang sa garahe ulit, bigla na lang nag alarm. after that everytime i-lock ko, naglock na sya with 1 chirp then after 3 seconds may kasunod na 4 chirps.. upon reading the manual, it says "if the system detected a bad sensor or an open zone, the system will chirp 4 additional times" .

anybody experienced this?

same problem, replaced shock sensor under warranty. looks like common problem with montero mine is just 2 wks old.

Maybe you can check if all doors are properly closed kahit walang door warning sa instrument panel. Kung ganun pa din dalhin nyo na po sa casa or sa winterpine(aurora).

*Elroi: I recently experienced alarm problems like yours. I brought my Monty to Winterpine Araneta Avenue for an inspection. Upon checking, they replaced my alarm shock sensor under warranty. Now the alarm is back to normal. HTH

thanks a lot guys.. will call the casa tomorrow to report the problem. gaano ba katagal palitan yung sensor, meron ba sila agad stock ng parts o iorder pa? isasabay ko na lang siguro sa 1K pms pag matagal.

The 2012 GLX, non-VGT version yung walang tailgate cladding and may key hole. Yung mga unang GLX na may tailgate cladding and walang keyhole will be the older models, before the VGT engine GLS variant came out.

My alarm for the GLX model also had problems. Nawawala yung siren, minsan meron. Nag lolock, unlock siya, yun nga lang walang audible warning. Last week walang chirping sound, ngayon naman meron na naman. Might have it checked sa CASAa to be sure.

Actually, yan nga rin pinapagisipan ko kung papalagyan ko pa nang tailgate cladding saka yung door moldings. Similar to the GLS variants now.

I recently got my GLX non-vgt hindi pa ganito yung setup. It seems GLS-V models and up lang. How much kaya magpaganitong setup sa Winterpine para masmadali magupdate ng SD Card as I'm planning to have my GPS activated...

I think I read on previous posts that SD card lang kailangan to activate ng GPS...is this true or do I need anything else?

3 day old GTV. Installed 18inch Black Rhinos after taking advantage of the 50k buyers week promo and traded stock tires. So i had 90k off my purchase. Too bad yan lang available set sa casa.i could wait a few more weeks pero mawawala daw promo ko. Not interested to get 20's anyway.

Congrats on your new ride sir! Those 18 inchers made the monty look more macho and still ready for off-road use. I was thinking to go 20" but after seeing this it made me think twice hehehe. If I understand it correctly, they bought your stock tires only or did it include the mag wheels as well? For how much? If you don't mind me asking further, how much is the total damage for 18" wheels & tires?

Only the SD card is need when updating maps. You can DL the updates on inav.ph
