yun garmin nakuha ko dun sa gps navigator ko with philippine map my Roadmap.PH. Totally workable sya sa HU natin at very accurate as I test drive it yesterday.

As I have previously posted, I managed to install Garmin XT and now Papago! X8 to our Headunit.

For Garmin XT, managed to resolve the Chinese characters and Bulgarian voice instruction. But you must be familiar using Garmin product in order for you to navigate up to the settings option to change it to English. Only problem is you won't be able to save the settings, can't save user POI's and other customization you've done. Whenever you open the application, settings goes back to original setup.

And here comes Papago! X8. I am familiar using this navigation tool as I am using it thru my iPhone. I have managed to download the application from the gpsunderground forum. Just enter this from your google search "papago x8 download philippines", the very first thread will contain the link for the application. It's working very fine and as accurate as my iPhone application.

Now in 1 SDcard, I can select 3 navigation software of your choice (or 2 as iNav.PH software map need some calibration). Nice ey?

Btw, iNav software from iNav.ph is important to activate your HU. Without it, you can't run Garmin or Papago! application.

I will post next time perhaps the steps incase you are interest how to make it work

Painform po kami sir how to setup PapaGo X8 correctly. Thanks!

I was able to run PapaGo! X8 Philippines on my HU. 100% tested and working!!!

Car Model - Adventure GLS Sport SE 2012
    HU Model - AVT IM-6307T

    1) Download PapaGo! X8 Philippines.
PM me for the exact download links.

    2) Extract RAR files to your SD card.

    3) Insert SD card to HU.

    4) Open HU.

    5) Go to NAVI to enter navigation mode.

    6) Go to settings > Browse files, set EXE file to X8_C3.EXE > Press Back > Save Settings
    Note:
EXE file depends on your BAUD rate and COm port. Inisa-isa ko lang po yung EXE files from C1 to C9, I was able to get GPS signal sa C3 EXE.

    7) Open PapaGo X8 GPS Software by clicking NAVI.

To verify if GPS is activated:
    - 'GPS activated!' voice prompt will be heard upon startup.
    - Go to Advanced Setting > System Status. You must be able to see satellites available in blue and red color.

    Note:
The red color indicates
that the signal is unstable and unlocked; the blue color indicates
that the satellite signal is locked. Status must be fixed.

    8) Go back to Main Menu > Map Mode or Navigate mode > You must be able to see your current location.

    9) Set your destination and press Go!

    Enjoy!

Thanks to christerdom! Dahil sa iyo sir kaya namin nalaman na merong PapaGo for our HU.

Maganda yun interface ng Papago! at most of its POI's are supplied by roadmap.ph at me 3D landmark pa sya esp kung nasa commercial districts ka. I find its interface better than Garmin.

Enjoyed its navigating a lot kasi pumunta kami ng Camarines Norte, a voice keep reminding me "please stay within the speed limit", nakakatanggal ng antok.... this is without paying 6k mga tol for the SD Card

Went as high as 12 l/km yun FC going baguio at bicol and vice versa.

Successfully downloaded and extracted the files on my sd card and followed the detailed steps, however, the current location is always at NCR, Makati and could not change to my current location which is in Bicol area. Any advice which I think I've missed?

    Thank you sir eminem6480.

Many thanks to all specially to eminem6480, christerdom and yapoy86.
