Sir try nyo kaya resetting the hu by removing the main battery for five minutes. Regarding naman sa smoking issue, subukan nyo seaoil diesel
Sir zix888
Sir do i need to remove the positive and negative terminals of the battery?
What do u remove? the negative terminal? or the positive terminal?
(Resetting the HU only works for the steering remote. I hope this one works for the incorrect datas on the left side screen.). A technician from winterpine changed something from my headunit (i don't know the term but its function is to read the distance travelled). After that, my datas on the left side screen were perfect until 2 weeks after the replacement SAME OLD PROBLEM WENT TO HAUNT ME BACK.
this symbol with the gas pump actually measures the distance remaining until you need to gas up taking into consideration the current average speed and fuel consumption. this data varies from time to time depending figures for the average speed and fuel consumption
all data in the car info always resets to zero at the start of the day (or at least when the car is parked overnight) thus it really only considers your travel for that day

Thanks! but i wasnt referring to that. it was something from the inside of the HU that was replaced. It's function was to read the distance traveled. Before replacing it, the 1000km PMS didnt flash on my screen even if i was beyond the 1000km mark. After replacing, everything went back to normal.
But now, all datas in the left side are inaccurate. and the data on the gas pump just reads ---- all day, everyday, full tank or less.
*zix888: i will try your suggestion sir.
My main problem now is the oem wiper. I apply glass wax and it was okay for a while. But after a few km the squeaking sound comes back again. I think the major problem with it is the crap oem blade.
Sir regarding naman sa v emblem, naka embosed po ba yung v? Or flat lang? Is it chrome? Or gray/silver? Para malaman natin and maadvise sa mga new owners if they need to clear coat it para hindi magfade. Checked my gtv emblem, the v sign is chrome and embosed, and the red plastic surrounding the v sign is a red plastic ( front and back) , so far same color since march 10.

Share ko lang, i have been using this wiper-ups for 15 years now to all my rides and it has protected my windshield plus wipers since then. Pag hindi ginagamit yung wipers, hindi siya nakasayad sa windshield, hindi nag accumulate ng dirt/alikabok. The rubber of the wipers avoid over heating especially under direct sunlight. Price is reasonable, just p500 per pair.. Although talagang medyo panis yung oem wipers natin, i suggest na palitan ng japan/us made wipers then protect it with wiper-ups
i would be very mad if this happened to me. this is actually one of the features that i love about the MIS
have you tried a manual reset of the MIS. try pressing with the tip of the pen a small button located at the left hand side of the unit. as per the manual, this is the quick fix if there is anything wrong with the MIS
if doing a reset still does not solve it, then best to bring it in for warranty check. this is what i did after successive resets did not solve my problem with my touch screen
could be the wiring or the sensors of the wheels. best to be sure rather than a DIY. in my case, when i had my rear cameras installed by the casa, the MIS readings went haywire when i left the case. thinking it was a fluke, i let it stand for two days and did some resets.
when the problem was not solved, i immediately went back to the casa. they checked it and the wirings to the ECU were just loose. now it is working fine
buti nalang i got my rear view cams from the casa so they had no choice but to acknowledge that it was their fault in not returning the MIS wires properly after installing the rear view cam
again, my advise for brand new cars is to claim the warranty. if despite this it is still not fixed, then you can escalate this and with the proper demand letter, perhaps a new vehicle or money back? hehehehe :naughty2:
of course, driver's error excepted. theft also excepted like in my case where my headlamp washer was stolen so i had to pay for the brand new replacement part and most likely pay for installing this also, grrrrr![]()
