Rear fog lamps are standard in all European cars. Supposedly it has the same intensity as the brake lights so it shouldn't blind you any more than the brake lights. It's similar to having fog lamps. Do we really need fog lamps?

The other aspect to it is having the European look.

fyi lang and medyo off-topic: i went to some european countries recently and, at least from my experience, konti lang have rear fogs. just want to correct the misconception that it's standard in european cars.

at the same time, my rover (range rover) is actually eudm that we imported here and it did not come stock with rear fog lights. the other rover in the family (discovery), also imported from the UK, did not come stock with rear fogs.

It's not a misconception that it's a standard for European cars to have rear fog lights installed because it is a standard as set by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Vehicle Regulations.

And as per UNECE Regulation 38, rear fog lamps are required in all European cars.

sorry about this but seriously, its no more ridiculous than considering that the UN can mandate EU countries to have particular car standards. its probably like having the UN mandate that all cars from asian countries lower their CO2 emissions. how will the UN impose the resolution? my only point is that all you have to do is go to any EU country and see the reality for yourself, and that its nowhere near a standard than just ink on paper. the reality is that i could probably count in the fingers of one hand the cars that had rear fogs when i last visited. ang pagkakaintindi ko kasi sa standard is that it should come stock when you buy a car from the casa. but the reality is that stock cars (in spain, portugal and the UK) don't have them. if that's the case, how can it be a standard?

a. can you use your stock switch to activate the rear fog lamp?
b. when you activate your rear fog lamp, does the indicator lamp on your dash for "rear Fog lamp" lights up?

Had my 10000km pms yesterday and part of the procedure set by mmpc is to reprogram ecu(egr setting), to address daw the smoke issue. So all 2011 models will undergo the procedure when you go for PMS. nagulat ako kasi top-up lang and cleaning ng brakes ang alam ko gagawin kaya i didnt remove my cr box, good thing wala naman nadiagnosed na meron ako mOdification ginawa. Sabi ko nga waive ko na lang yung procedure kasi happy nako with my gtv on seaoil diesel plus cr box, pero kailangan daw eh. So far okay naman
