i'm not a big fan of hood protectors (it used to be known as "bra".. go figure) but based on your post, i can imagine the benefits for your dad. don't know lang where you can buy one. good luck sa paglinis.

sir, madali lang ikabit, screw lang na may turn knob kaya kamay lang pwede na matighten. Mas madali nga makita yun harap ng car since pwede gawin indicator yun hood protector

i just got the custom matting from mscp member 88

ganda! it covers the whole floor of the monty from the first to the third row. plus, when the third row seats are folded flat, it also covers and protects the whole cargo area floor

the rubber matting is attached by velcro to the OEM mat so it is secured in its place.

it even covers the sides of the mat and other small recesses on the floor and the sides of the seat

looks like that i will be selling my rear cargo tray as it is no longer useful

pics please, i'm looking for new matting. How much din kuha mo sir?

it comes in two colors. gray or beige. mine is gray.. the cover itself is made of synthetic leather... i know its kinda pricy at around P16K, but worth it. i got one, when i saw two guys looking at the back of the vehicle peeking thru the rear window. medyo na paranoid ako. he he he

this is not new in the philippines.

back in the 80s, a lot of car owners installed aftermarket red lamps just below the rear bumper, which was either a third brake lamp or a fixed lamp

i would surmise it was for safety reasons, as an added rear lamp since the third brake light will not illuminate unless you step on the brake

Rear fog lamps are standard in all European cars. Supposedly it has the same intensity as the brake lights so it shouldn't blind you any more than the brake lights. It's similar to having fog lamps. Do we really need fog lamps?

The other aspect to it is having the European look.

I don't think nakakasilaw ang rear fogs. I've checked other Monty's with rear fogs before I installed one on my Monty. Euro themed kasi ako kaya I decided to add it.

In Europe, rear fogs are standards because cars there usually cross in different countries. You can tell if the car is right-hand drive or left-hand drive based on the location of the rear fogs. They also require to put stickers on their headlights para di masilaw ang kasalubong.

Here in our country, like one said, there are only few places with thick fog and that's true. But these rear fogs can be useful during heavy rains.

O.T.: I can still remember reading the late Kookie Ramirez' column in C! magazine, there he mentioned about the dangers of using the hazard lights during a heavy downpour. Cars behind you might get confused especially when you change lanes, or worse, making a turn, because both sides are blinking... Just my two cents

have you tried a manual reset of the MIS. try pressing with the tip of the pen a small button located at the left hand side of the unit. as per the manual, this is the quick fix if there is anything wrong with the MIS

if doing a reset still does not solve it, then best to bring it in for warranty check. this is what i did after successive resets did not solve my problem with my touch screen

could be the wiring or the sensors of the wheels. best to be sure rather than a DIY. in my case, when i had my rear cameras installed by the casa, the MIS readings went haywire when i left the case. thinking it was a fluke, i let it stand for two days and did some resets.

when the problem was not solved, i immediately went back to the casa. they checked it and the wirings to the ECU were just loose. now it is working fine

buti nalang i got my rear view cams from the casa so they had no choice but to acknowledge that it was their fault in not returning the MIS wires properly after installing the rear view cam

again, my advise for brand new cars is to claim the warranty. if despite this it is still not fixed, then you can escalate this and with the proper demand letter, perhaps a new vehicle or money back? hehehehe :naughty2:

of course, driver's error excepted. theft also excepted like in my case where my headlamp washer was stolen so i had to pay for the brand new replacement part and most likely pay for installing this also, grrrrr

Sir 111prez, saang casa ka napakabit ng rear view camera? if you dont mind, baka pwede maipost mo ang pictures kung anong klase yan? pati na rin ang total cost ng pagawa. Im still looking kasi para magpakabit ng rear view camera.Thanks.
