Brought my unit back to Diamond Motors Greenhills EDSA last Saturday to have it re-tinted since 3 windows developed bubbles. Never sumipot the tinter and had to reschedule it for Wednesday. While kausap ko the SA and their manager re: the non appearance of the tinter and requested for an early appointment on Wednesday. They told me that hindi pwede since contractor yun wala silang control sa oras and earliest they can accomodate was 10. Grrr... Ngayon lang ako nakarining na ang contractor ang nagseset ng oras and not the dealer. Luckily knew someone in management and raised my concern nung nalaman na I was complaining biglang inaccomodate my early apppointment request.
Rained hard tonight and after 3 months of owning the unit, this is the 1st time that I experienced driving in the rain. Epic fail palpak the wipers and nagskip. Hirap tuloy to drive in the rain.

i assume sir you are still using the stock wipers. 2 days after i got the unit while going down from baguio on heavy rains, wipers didn't serve its purpose:-(....will be replacing them soon especially rainy season is coming. Safety is my main concern.

i agree. it's an epic fail. the OEM wipers (at least the rubber on the wipers) are really crap. you can change the rubber or the whole wiper (bosch aerotwin seems to be the recommendation of many MSCP members)

I normally drive slow (smooth acceleration) but after weeks of driving slowly, when I did "sprints", I can see black smoke on my rear view mirror. After about 3-4 "sprints", the black smoke is gone. Does this mean we have to do "sprints" every once in a while? I do enjoy it though, hahaha. Is this normal with all diesels? I have no experience with diesel cars since I have been driving gasoline vehicles ever since.

good day po! i'm not sure if this is the right thread to post this, please correct me if i'm wrong...
I'm from Bacolod City...i'm wondering sir if the dealer quoted me right for the MS GLS-V for 1.448M against the SRP of 1.408M....they say the reason for this is that it's the normal pricing for units away from NCR....thanks in advance po!

Kinda normal since meron talaga carbon deposits eh. if you want, you can try putting 5ml of 2T oil per liter of diesel. Use the 2T oil with FC rating like Castrol Activ. Read the link below for the explanation.

Agree also on the Bosch Aerotwin as this is what I am using. Very effective during rainy season.

Maybe due to the shipping cost...?

thanks for this. will try it later.

this forum is a really big help. the radio portion in the user manual is different from the one in the actual unit.

i thought of that option too sir but to avoid the hassle pa of going the long way up to manila and back, i decided sa Bacolod na lang ako kukuha, at least malapit lang...kung reasonable naman pala yung dag2 na 40 k, then so be it...i placed a reservation already by the way...thanks po sa inyong clarification!

I still am. Was at the CASA earlier and had the tints reinstalled on all 4 doors. Complained about the wipers and pinalitan naman since nakita nila that the rubber was already torn. The service advisor also had the wiper arms adjusted since he told me that sumasabit daw sa lower part ng windshield.

Will purchase new wipers na ren just to be sure. How much are the bosch wipers?

hahaha wish i had more time to read the manual or tinker with the truck. as it is, i barely get enough sleep. thanks to this forum, its just a forum post away.

the new wipers are a good idea. during last night's rain, it wasn't particularly pleasant. i'm a NWB believer. been using it for over 5 years now in all our other vehicles. i even use it on the other truck from UK. i'm happy with how it cleans the windshield during a downpour.
