for the life of me, i can't believe a UN resolution is being quoted. UN? hahaha LOL.. seriously?
curiously, what will the UN do if a vehicle manufacturer doesn't comply? ask the US to invade the country a la searching for WMD's?
tough enough getting a resolution thru the european union, but the UN? LOL...
I honestly don't know how to answer your question about the UN asking the US to invade the country. That's pretty far-fetched, don't you think? I honestly think it's ridiculous really.
You said rear fog lamps are not standard and I just pointed out that they are standard as set by the UNECE. Unless of course you know of anything that proves otherwise?
Going back on topic:
Like the previous post, it's all a matter of preference. I prefer it.

sorry about this but seriously, its no more ridiculous than considering that the UN can mandate EU countries to have particular car standards. its probably like having the UN mandate that all cars from asian countries lower their CO2 emissions. how will the UN impose the resolution? my only point is that all you have to do is go to any EU country and see the reality for yourself, and that its nowhere near a standard than just ink on paper. the reality is that i could probably count in the fingers of one hand the cars that had rear fogs when i last visited. ang pagkakaintindi ko kasi sa standard is that it should come stock when you buy a car from the casa. but the reality is that stock cars (in spain, portugal and the UK) don't have them. if that's the case, how can it be a standard?
makisingit lang ho......magkano pala ang rear fog lamps/lights? dun sa mga nakabili na, paki inform lang naman sa mga tulad ko gusto magkaroon.
Bought mine at Union Motors Paco. Price is 2,801.20 less 10% discount, so i got it for 2,521.08. Part number is 8337A077. I got it installed by them so that it will not void my warranty. They charged me 1k for the installation plus installing my Bosch Europa horns also![]()
Had my 10000km pms yesterday and part of the procedure set by mmpc is to reprogram ecu(egr setting), to address daw the smoke issue. So all 2011 models will undergo the procedure when you go for PMS. nagulat ako kasi top-up lang and cleaning ng brakes ang alam ko gagawin kaya i didnt remove my cr box, good thing wala naman nadiagnosed na meron ako mOdification ginawa. Sabi ko nga waive ko na lang yung procedure kasi happy nako with my gtv on seaoil diesel plus cr box, pero kailangan daw eh. So far okay naman
I had the Pms at carworld marilao. I ask them if that procedure is setting the euro4 to euro2, the headtechnician said no, he said it has something to do with the way egr functions. I didnt feel any difference so far when it comes to power. Though i can compare when i get the chance to pass by sctex, before the reprogramming kasi i had proven that the 200kph instrumentation is kulang sa gtv, nasa "push trip" na sya when i slowed down, pero syempre i have also have to consider na meron mods, pero pwede ko maicompare. But so far, okay naman sya, super linis ng tail pipe, walang blackening on the lip
sir, maybe u didnt feel the change of power since you have that CR chip u added to your monty? I obviously felt mine since I remembered to have power on the 1,500rpm. but now needs to be at 2,000rpm or more when overtaking!
Just spoke to my service advisor regarding the reprogamming of ecu, he said that same procedure is done for both glsv and gtv but with two different codes. One for gtv and another code for glsv, so it is not the same setting after all.
Here's some more videos after the reprogram.
With a/c on, idle for 15 mins, then heavy rev 2,500, 3400, 4000 rpm
