Mga bossing, kailangan ba ipaundercoat asx ko kasi yung coating na black parang manipis nakikita yun pintura na blue(king fisher blue) sa may may ilalim ng rear fender. Tagulan pa naman.

Ok din yan for added protection.
Sa akin nung brandnew pina-undercoat ko agad, nitong nag 2-yrs na nagretatch ako dahil may mga parteng manipis ang pagka-undercoat.

Availed myself of Ziebart's Super Rust Protection today for peace of mind. They agreed to classify the ASX as "new" since it just turned a year last month and it has a little more than 5,000 km on it. The car was fully treated, including the doors, and it still smells like kerosene inside. Hopefully it will be worth it. :beer:

They agreed to classify the ASX as "new" since it just turned a year last month and it has a little more than 5,000 km on it. Actually, the rust protection was an afterthought. My main business was their Diamond Gloss paint protection. I have to say, I think I don't need a mirror. >:->

Ok lang yun bro, mas ok nga kung after one year or two years saka mag upgrade. Pero yung tungkol sa tint e importante yan lalo na kung madalas ang byahe pag araw.

the no tint is part of my set-up :-)

feeling purist ako... just keep the car clean, have proper parking both work and home.

... I still think this thread is a good resource for our car (its the only one i see in the Philippine setting)

please keep it alive... we might need it for the future for any parts, maintenance we might encounter...

The no-tint clean look thing is hard to do when living in a hot part of the world like the Philippines. It just makes the car into a rolling greenhouse even with a powerful aircon.

i agree that its hard... but compensates for the clean look... besides I only use the ASX in the city, its my mall, office, starbuks car :-)

quick question GhostHunter... If i remember it right, you had a Lancer GTA... is the lancer much faster than the ASX?, does the tranny (CVT) acts exactly the same as the ASX? ... im still not that fond of the CVT

Though cant complain on the gas mileage... I really find the ASX thrifty for a 2.0L engine

might consider getting a 2nd hand GTA... good prices in the 2nd hand market

Mga sirs, nadali ASX ko kahapon ng hapon ng anak ng kapit bahay. Ang haba ng gasgas sa rear bumper. Did the fingernail test at malalim. May part na kita na yung plastic. Magkano kaya aabutin nito? Pwede ko ba to ipasok sa insurance? Di ko pa nakausap yung tatay ng bata eh. May mga eyewitnesses naman na makakapagsabi na yun bata yung nakagasgas. Pinapagawa ko kasi garahe ko kaya sa labas ako nakapark sa ngayon. TIA

I had a EX 2.0 GLS with GTA wheels (for the GTA look).


The GTA vs ASX will have the same performance simply because they have the same engine, CVT tranny and even weigh roughly the same too. If you were to choose the 2.0 GLS version, it weights around a hundred kilos less than the GTA but lacks a few of the suspension upgrades like stabilizers and have a different bumper and foglight assembly.

Problema kasi pagwala pang molde masa-sacrifice yun unang magpapagawa. Masisira yun paint e.
