Mitsubishi Motors Philippines is giving car buyers something new to look forward to next year.
The Japanese brand is bringing in the RVR, a compact crossover, in the second half of 2010, a well-placed source from Mitsubishi Philippines said.

The RVR is a compact crossover with an all-new 1.8-liter MIVEC gasoline engine.
Japan's Mitsubishi Motors Corp. (MMC) said the RVR will be released in spring before it goes to other markets like North America, Europe and the rest of Asia.
"With the RVR, MMC expands its crossover lineup, which already includes the full-size Pajero and the midsize Outlander," Mitsubishi Japan said.
The RVR is approximately 4.3 meters long "featuring high fuel efficiency via its lightweight compact body."
"The all-new RVR is a compact crossover that provides high environmental efficiency and has a compact body while providing ample utility space and high performance," Mitsubishi said.

RVR is the first compact crossover to run on RP on it's size.
RVR can be a direct rival to Qashqai, SX4 Sportback.

    RAV4, CRV, OUTEE, Forester,Tucson & X-Trail are a bit bigger.

Mitsubishi Motors Corporation to Premiere All-new ASX Compact Crossover at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show

TOKYO, January 19th, 2010 — Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) will premiere its ASX all-new compact crossover from Tuesday March 2, 2010 to Sunday March 14, 2010 at the 80th Geneva International Motor Show held at the Geneva Palexpo in Switzerland.

The ASX is the European-spec version of the Japanese RVR, which is slated to go on sale in Japan from February 2010. MMC's new compact crossover will seat 5 and will be sequentially introduced in European countries from late spring 2010, aimed at expanding MMC's passenger car footprint in the region, following in the footsteps of the larger and recently redesigned Outlander mid-size crossover.

Amongst other available powertrains, the European-spec version will be fitted with an all-new Euro 5-compliant 1.8L turbocharged direct-injection diesel engine jointly developed by MMC and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. and will feature "Automatic Stop & Go" technology. Together with a 6-speed manual transmission, this combination will provide high environmental efficiency.

hahaha, exactly! Front is a Lancer EX while the back, esp the taillights are from the monterosport.

The design is very acceptable & quite fresh, though some people really wont like the wide-open-mouth grill (ala Audi suvs)

Medyo kasing laki sya ng Kia Sportage which is not bad. Tucson ang katapat nito..

Napisil ko mouse ko dito It looks so darn good!

The rear can definitely handle a dual exhaust for that updated head-turning look.

Second half of this year ang dating? Book now because for sure haba ng wait list nito.
