    Ingredients the Lancer needs in order to make its mark as the great car it was once known before:

    1. Engine with variable valve timing and enough potential to keep up with the performance leaders

    2. Dependability missing in previous models

    3. Stunning design (spyshots look promising) and sporty driving feel (currently lacking in the Civic)

    As I posted before, the new Corolla/Altis won't be out until the 2008 model year, so maybe it's best for Mitsu to properly time the launch of the new Lancer. The Sentra replacement will come out very soon but once more, it doesn't look like a threat to the Civic. I hope the Lancer will have a different story to tell.

    The new Evo concept(silver scale model) uses the body specs based on the all-new production Lancer, this explains why the red car has a lower roofline and different window frames, while the silver scale model has the same roofline/window frames as the Lancers in the spy photos(previous page).
