hey guys, I'm new to the whole car business thing and was hoping if someone could point me to the right direction. I'm getting a GLS model soon in place of the GT-A and use the money I'll be saving for some aftermarkets right away. 1st question is how much could i sell the stock tires and mags for the best price, 2nd, to those enthusiasts, where can i get good looking mags that'll fit the overall aesthetics of my car? (hopefully they're cheap too) I've had DUBSHOP in mind but i'm sure there are other options you guys can recommend me. and lastly, any good recommendations for bodykits? anyway thanks in advance! help this clueless person out haha

May I ask anyone who knows where to buy the lcd installed in lancer ex units na knakabit ng citimotors, i also saw one na galing union motors? Sa Diamond Motors kasi kung saan ako nakabili ng unit ay di alam ng SA ko. Also I'm interested to know saan makabili ng recaro seats.

This is a shameless plug, but check out www.mitsulancerph.net. There you can get tons of ideas how to modify your GLS and turn it into a real cool car (not to say that the stock EX is not cool, it is).

Since I've become a member a couple of months ago, I've acquired a spoiler and 18" mags with the help of fellow members. For me, I chose to stick to the OEM/stock parts for my EX (from the GT-A, I put them into my MX). But for aftermarket mags, I would look for ROTA, coz it's known to be very very durable, plus it's lightweight (more so than Concept One, for example). The set for 18" mags would cost you around 25K and up. Then buying tires for 'em is another 20K at least (Taiwanese/Chinese brand), but I would suggest getting a Kumho KU31 SPT (Korean) at the minimum (costs around 25K for the set).

If you wanna save on the wheels upgrade while still getting a great quality set, I would recommend buying a set of stock 18" GT-A mags that include the stock Yokohama Advan tires. The tires alone cost around 32K brand new. This is what I did, and it cost me only 30K for everything, mags and tires.

Naku, dyan sa Diamond Motors masyadong by the book. Hindi daw kasi certified yung mga LCD head unit, so hindi sila pwede magbenta at mag-install nun. Nalaman ko yan nung bumibili pa lang ako ng unit. And then biglang nag-offer Citimotors ng may bundled na nito, and no warranty was voided.

If you wanna get a similar LCD, check out dealers of AVT. This is the brand that Citimotors installs. Yun nga lang kapag sa labas mo pina-install, baka matanggalan ka ng warranty sa electrical/electronics.

exactly what I was thinking for my car! thought i'd go for those 18' ROTA's as well (they're cheap and durable which gives me the bang for the buck). I've snooped around and A-toy gave me a price of 28k for a whole body wrap around, front chin, side skirts etc. I think a rear diffuser is also included not sure. Of course kasama na yung installation fees and whatnot. my main concern are just the mags... 18' are pricey and may cost me an arm and leg, also once i set up the kit, it might or it will affect the warranty on my car. anyway, thanks sir your post was very VERY informative! hope there are other members who'll give me tips. and btw, thanks for the link also

I'm so confused.. I've already reserved my Lancer EX GTA and I'm already waiting for it to arrive, its just after browsing some sites, I've noticed that the GTA and GTS is kinda bit different..

another thing, is it true that its really noisy inside the cabin around 50kph below? and that you have to step a bit hard on the gas to accelerate due to the heavy body? Kindly enlighten me on this one..

I've chose the GT-A over Civic 2.0, Ford 2.0 and Impreza 2.0.. just wanted to make sure that I've done a good decision..

this is the 08-09 Lancer EX GT-A (save for the headlamps):



notice the front fascia which is the most visible difference from that of the 2010 model of the GT-A.

the current GT-A has both the front fascia and the tail lights of the Ralliart Lancer (also sold here). pic below is that of the Ralliart. notice the front fascia.



note: the GT-A does not come with the Ralliart hood, badge, and intercooler .

The rear seat floor has the hump in the middle.

Not really sure eh. But I do believe that the cost of participation will be well under what you really will pay if you got a replacement that's new/original.

Baka pwede naman kausapin ang insurance na ikaw muna mag abono tapos i-reimburse nalang kayo.

Have you tried contacting Aguila Glass? ... they have a website with their contact numbers. Maybe they can give you a quotation on the replacement glass and labor.
