Got my lancer ex glx 1.6 mt yesterday! awesome car, this car is reaaaally thrifty sa gas, pero it goes if you want it to go!

how thrift sa gas sir? kakakuha ko lang din ng lancer ex glx ko kahapon.

Has anyone of you tried using the stock gt-a mags sa 1.6 lancer mx a/t? Whats the difference in terms of:

1. Acceleration/power
2. Handling
3. How's the ride? Di ba matagtag?
4. FC

Do you think it will look good on a red mx considering im not putting any bodykits on it? Thanks.

So far ang best FC ko is 14km/li and worst is 11km/li driving route ko is Mckinley Hill Taguig>C5>Libis>Marcos HiWay>Sumulong>Valley Golf.

Hahah baka mapagalitan tayo, pero in fairness super haba na ng discussion dun sa fuel consumption, tires and wheels section, w pics pa.

Few tips:
1.fuel economy is consistently high at 100kph+/-10
2.pag naglagay ka ng K&N typhoon or HKS power muffler, bababa city mileage mo (kasi apak ka ng apak sarap pakinggan ng tunog eh)
3.mas fuel efficient ang cvt kesa manual except kung dati kang taxi driver
4.pudpudin muna gulong bago magpalit, mababa kasi swap/resale value nyan
5.any kalampag, tok, defect lalut bago kotse mo, ipunin mo muna for 1k or 5k pms bago dalhin sa casa, hindi naman perfect yan pag labas ng casa sa dami ng parts na hinamit pangassemble
6.yung km/100L pwedeng gawing km/L basa basa lang ng manual

salamat boss, hehe. ang sarap sa highway, sisiw lang yung 100kph, nakakatakot nga e kasi hindi mo pansin malapit na pala lumampas sa speed limit.

worst ko FC kahapon ay 6.something km/L dahil sa city traffic >_< mabigat siguro ako sa gas? 1st time ko kasing magkaron ng kotse na nagpapakita ng FC hahaha.

One pair of the speakers are two way speakers so technically they are counted as FOUR speakers. That gives a total of nine speakers all in all.

check the specs for speaker no. 3

Oh ok. Thanks for clarification. Some things sales peeps can't explain. All the while I thought it was 9 physical speakers.

I had a close look at the lancer ex kahapon. Sobrang liit nga ng trunk space. Saka may bulge pa pala yung rear flooring? Uncomfortable to pag 3 yung nakasakay sa likod.

naka break-in na yan sa planta (jan lang naman sila sa cainta). nung makuha ko sa kin ihinataw ko agad sa baguio from las pinas balikan pa, then tagaytay and subic. tested na agad sya sa 150+kph sa sctex kaya after 1 week nag 1k pms na ko (actually 800km pa lang lumabas na agad yung warning). then nakita ko agad ang sira nung sa kin, which is dead display on head unit (took mitsu 1yr to repair duh).

after 1k, sa 5k na kasi next service mo kaya magangdang habang maaga makita mo mga maluluwag na turnilyo, papano? eh di ihataw mo!

ngayon may vibration sa loob di ko alam kung sa pinto o sa backseat, hindi ko naman maituro kaya hindi pa nagagawa sa casa, minsan tumutunog din yung front right gulong ko (TEINS - aftermarket na eh).

same na same tayo ng mga napansin sa lancer ex haha. ang reklamo ko lang sa ex ay masyadong maliit yung trunk, tsaka masyadong naka umbok yung gitna ng rear seats. lugi yung uupo sa gitna haha.

pero for me hindi naman siya dealbreaker haha. panalong panalo pa rin ang looks and porma nya, tapos the 1.6 engine is very capable naman hehe.

Up ko Lang tong question na to nung poster sa taas. I wanna know too. Balak ko palitan ng 18 yung wheels ko pagpudpod na. (bukas pa raw darating dapat today eh) pero fc pa rin masimportante. Kung sasama yung fc in anyway mag 17 nalang ako. 1.6 lang kasi yung engine kung 2.0 sana no problems yung pagpalit.

Generally, since the wheels would be heavier. You should expect a slight dip in fuel efficiency. I think someone mentioned here or the other forum na expect maybe -1km/l from what your FC is now. That was for the 2.0 liter variants btw, I'm not sure how the new 1.6 would handle it.

Handling, meron din ako naaalala na may nagsabi handling would be better with 18s. Again, base on the old 2.0 variants

Ride; well you have thinner tires. You'd feel the bumps more I guess

Good for you bro. The trunk space, pwde pa pagtyagaan. but ung bulge s flooring, it would be a deal breaker for me. 3 boys kasi yun kids ko, napaka uncomfortable nun s likod para sa nakaupo s gitna. and yung interior pala, nothing special. parang mas ok pa yun door panel ng adventure namin. same material as the ceiling din, madumihn at hirap linisan.

Got my ride na kaninang umaga! Pinablackout ko na rin yun center bar ng front bumper. Ganda. Really happy with my ride. Kaya lang may "tok" sound sa likod. Sa 1k PMS ko nalang imemention masyado hassle kung ibabalik ko agad eh.

Di ko masabi kung kelan tumutunog eh. Kanina nung pauwi ako di tumunog at all. Pero the first time i heard it was after a hump ata or after a quick stop. Pepared na ako tanggapin yung tok issue before ko makuha yung unit so di ako nagpapanic. Sa 1st pms nalang talaga. Matte black sticker lang pinangblack out ko. 500 tapos 50 yung tip ko. Natuwa kasi ako sa pagkakagawa. Parang ang ganda ng kapit. Pablackout mo na rin yung sayo sir! Kung hindi pa. Ang ganda talaga sulit yung 500.
