I paid exactly 2,075 for my 1k pms sa diamond fairview. Regular oil lang kinuha ko since u are still required to go back every 5k. Make sure u also get the excess oil (half liter) which u can use again in ur next pms.

    *aargh,

sa Diamond fairview din ako magpapa-PMS since sa kanila ko nakuha yung car. When you say regular oil, yun ba yung tinatawag nila na mineral? Thanks.

Yup mineral oil yun.

Kelangan every 5k kasi they need to change the oil filter every 5k. Which negates d advantage of synthetic kasi balik casa ka din every 5k.

Masmaganda rin siguro mineral pala change oil every 5k instead of 10k. Mapeprevent yung buildup ng sludge.

I dont know much about oils but afaik, the biggest advantage is that synthetic oils require 10k before changing while mineral is just 5k. Im sure there are other benefits ng synthetic kaya mas mahal sya pero for regular users like us, I dont think its too obvious. Siguro sa mga high performance cars ramdam.

^actually naisip ko din yan. Top up and change oil filter yung 5k. Pwede ba yung mineral na lang then every 5k change oil? Kala ko kasi kailangan fully synthetic lagi.

Its ur choice kung mineral or synthetic. Make sure na sabihin mo sa SA kasi pag wala ka sinabi automatic synthetic ilalagay nila.

It depends on your preference sa car. These are the points I considered when I was choosing city/jazz or lancer ex

    Bigger car
    Bigger engine
    Fun to drive
Cost 30k more vs the 1.3 city. (with overall discounts and free lto into consideration)

Some would prefer the smaller more fuel efficient city or jazz but you won't get the better feel of a bigger car.

It's really up to your preference. Old model yes, but still looks good for my taste.

Sir for me, ang thinking ko when i chose the lancer ex over subcompacts is i get more car for the same amount of money. Plus the standard features on the base model lancer is very impressive for the price, the following comes standard with the base model glx:

safety features: ABS, EBD, dual airbags, engine immobilizer
entertainment: DVD GPS bluetooth enabled head unit, ipod integration, USB port, aux in
others: bigger space, better ride, very good FC, pogi points! (subjective of course hehe)

Medyo luma na siya but the 1.6 4a92 engine is brand new (aluminum block, MIVEC), sa vios same engine parin ang gamit as the previous generation.

Sorry kung para akong SA ng lancer hehe, just want to share the factors that made me decide to get this car when i was car hunting early this year.

Lol. Kahit pa masbago ang vios, its still worlds apart in terms of looks. Hindi nakakasawa tingnan ang ex. Yun siguro advantage nya sa design compared to others. Dami kasing kotse may wow factor sa umpisa pero after a while wala na. Pero kanya kanyang opinion talaga yan. If you want a better competition sa choices mo, add the new fiesta hb to the mix. Id pick that car anytime over the vios or city. Mura lang din. 698k for the base model at 1.5l na yun.

Depende sa preference mo but the ex is bigger and has a better ride than subcompacts. I have a 2nd gen vios and anlayo ng difference sa ride comfort and nvh.
