Has anyone tried installing K and N short ram intake/s with the Lancer ex? Is it more responsive or it will just produce a better sound? And lastly, will it void the warranty of the car? Thanks!

Almost same power as a drop-in K&N filter, just louder based on dyno tests at speedlab.

    Does not void the warranty.

hi sir ghosthunter! would you happen to have the dyno figures for both the drop-in and the SRI. am interested to find out how much HP gain can be obtained from either of the two.

    thanks in advance.

Based on what Sidney mentioned to me:

SRI = 5whp gain (plus increased cabin noise)
    drop-in = 4whp gain

maintenance wise, silver is the better choice. hindi halata masyado ang scratches and swirls. i chose black. am regretting my decision kasi hindi naman ako magaling mag detail.

white would probably have been better. ayaw lang ni misis kasi.

I seem to remember around 120whp (stock) for a CVT equipped Lancer EX.

My car also had a peak gain of 14whp from it's UNICHIP mod & dyno tuning.

My intake & exhaust system are still stock (aside from the k&N drop-in filter).
