If you have the money, of course the EVO-X is better.

IF you are on a budget, you can go for the Lancer EX RalliArt. Its the "smaller" brother of the Evo-X. Turbocharged engine but with less power and a simpler AWD system, it's actually drives more at home on the city roads.

Sorry totally unrelated to the last few posts, but I think im on the right thread, this being for 2008-2010 Lancers...so here it is:

Is Diamond Gloss from Ziebart worth it? I had my GTA washed for the 1st time and noticed white paint-like dots. Nakakainis black pa naman kulay ng auto ko...a friend who got his new montero said it might be from the CASA. When they delivered the car to me, madaming wax like substances all over the car eh. Any ideas? Ayaw galawin ng car wash kase baka masira paint. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Newbie Lancer EX owner po ako at hihingi po sana ako ng suggestions and recommendations on how to take care of my new baby.

1. Rust-proofing - Casa or Ziebart or Tuff Kote?
2. Exterior - is there a good way to preserve it in the best way possible? Also, may suggestion po ba sila sa soaps, wax or any other cleaning materials ?
3. Any other recommendations?

year on year, the only major difference is the "MX" model which seemed to change certain specs from it's original 2008 variant to the current 2010 version.

The "best" would be the GT-A (automatic) or GT (manual). But best value for money would be the MX units, which has most of the toys of the GTA minus the Rockford sound system, bodykit, and 18inch wheels. The GLS also offers good value (since it's priced at P895k) but it doesn't have the paddle shifters and rear stabilizer (i think).

Generally they all have the same engine so it's a choice of CVT or M/T. M/T can be faster but driving it in traffic will be a pain. Two models comes with M/T, the GLX and the GT but the GT is not sold (as brand new) anymore. The GLX is the base model car so quite a number of stuff would not present if compared to the GTA model but it is the cheapest of the line.

The GT and GTA models are practically the same except for the transmission type. The GT has the advantage of faster initial acceleration but the GTA is potentially easier to be faster through a corner because of the paddle-shifters. In daily driving, the GTA is preferred because of the CVT tranny, makes it easier to drive.

Mitsubishi stopped selling the GT model in 2010. Probably poor sales as compared to the other models.
