I was driving hard, very hard. Hard enough to get some slide action as well.
I doubt if most owners would ever push their Lancer EX as hard as I did (Lancer EX race track addicts not included).
What is good to know is the Lancer EX GLX/GLS (with simple mods like 18in wheels & rear stabilizer bar) is a car that likes to push the limits and reward the driver for doing it. Behavior at near the limit is still predictable.

October 26th, 2010 09:56 PM #134got mine last 10-10-10 at Mitsubishi taytay.. so far I've only traveled 660km..i havent been able to travel to nlex/slex/sctex since i bought it.. so far so good.. the faux wood trim can be changed if you want just like what ghosthunter did. Free seat covers look like from taxis. What i've heard in other forums is that the more expensive the fuel, the better the mileage you will get. I tested Shell Vpower(97) and Caltex silver(93?). Based from my observation, vpower lasted more.
GH, may i know what the rear stabilizer does? sorry for being innocent about car parts..we only have front right? is it important to have rear also?
You will rarely see an EX roaming around the metro and the fact that it's a headturner since it's rare. Makes me feel like I'm driving a luxury car.. :-D

I don't have a Lancer EX but instead an ASX. However, I've always loved the fighter jet/Evo X look of both cars. The look is not common making it a head turner. Go with the Lancer EX.

That part links the two rear wheels' suspension so they can move somewhat together so dampen certain unwanted motions, like the rear fishtailing due to sudden "weightshifting" maneuvers. Keeps the car in control.
The same result can be done by using stiffer suspension but ride comfort will suffer. But a stiffer suspension also results in better handling overall.

Mine would be two years old next month, just had my 20000km checkup last week. So far so good, no complaints on my part. Fc is acceptable. Till now it still puts a smile on my face when I see it and drive it. Maintenance wise is acceptable too. Btw mine is an MX model.

October 27th, 2010 04:01 AM #138Awesome! I guess most of the owners of EX models are of "racer boy" type, I guess the car itself demands to be pushed hard. So far there's nothing that keeps somebody from buying this car, duly noted.
OT: What's the difference between the MX and GLS? They're both CVT as far as i can tell.
