    Yes, this is true.

One of the two engines na ilalabas is the improved 2.4 MIVEC engine.
-More than 5% power output compared to current 4G69 2.4 MIVEC engine.
-Engine is 10% lighter due to usage of aluminum parts/components.

This new 2.4 liter engine will contain all the technologies found on Mitsubishi's 'A9 Engine' (Colt and Colt Plus) which has earned crtical acclaim in both Japan and in Europe.

I hope this comes out in the 1st quarter of 2006.

Any news yet? Napaka-unreliable naman kasi ng mga sales agents ng Mitsu kaya I never bothered to ask them.... yet.

check out this site. go to impressions (latest update) and watch video of test drive of new outlander. generally, you won't understand the driver but you'll get an idea of how the outlander performs... on a test track at least.

According to that website the all-new Outlander is going to be released this month, at least in Japan.

    Sana sunod na tayo!

pics usually doesn't do the actual vehicle justice since it's hard to see the proportions and cohesiveness of design from pictures. I will reserve my judgement when i see the actual unit

Speaking of New Outlander, this thing is selling like hotcakes in Japan.

As of 14 days from its release, there are already more than 5,000 orders made for the Outlander (exceeding Mitsu Japan's own projection of 2,000 orders for the month).

This exceeds even the total orders for the Grandis (at least during its launch).

Also, the number of people who visited the Mitsu dealers to see the New Outlander also increased.
