Interesting that the US still gets a SOHC 2.0 only instead of the DOHC we get here... what's up with that?

Kinda corny IMO... considering that the GT 2.0 doesn't even have half the Evolution's horsepower and has a hp-sapping invecs a/t.

Though am really impressed with the steering wheel with the discreet airbag boss.

It's not the power... it's the handling. Although a manual version really wouldn't hurt, and would put the 2.0 GT in the proper price range for boyracers.

Why oh why do automakers insist on offering AT-only 2.0s? They should offer their top trims in 1.8AT and offer stripped down 2.0MTs. Offer the top trim upgrade as an option, but keep it cheap!

Haven't test driven a new Lancer yet... is its handling at par with the Focus (a bit softer than the MZ3 but is well suited here) / Mazda3?

    Hahahaha :hihihi:

This could threathen the Nissan Bluebird Sylphy which has a footbrake mechanism. (unless they do a "Tiida export" and do a switch-a-roo with a handbrake).
