    Need Help Please!!

I recently bought a used 2003 Lancer MX last year. Problem is now it won't run either forward or in reverse. At first i noticed a drag in its transmission running for about 1-20 Kph and after gaining enough acceleration it starts to run smoothly. So immediately I decided to have it checked but to my dismay on my way to Mitsubishi the transmission seems to stall but the engine is running. After that incident i noticed that the N and D shift indicator in my dashboard starts blinking alternately.

I don't know what the problem is since i failed to have it diagnosed .

BTW is it bad to unplug the ECU thing in my fuse box? Because apparently it all started when i did some "Do It Yourself" check under its bonnet.

as long as you did not do any tinkering inside the ECU box, then it is fine (hugot lang ng plug then kabit). sakit lang talaga sa ulo ang matic habang nagiging luma lalo na kung hindi maintained wisely, or yung inabuso ang pagpapatakbo ng sasakyan tsk.

nope, ok lang yung hinugot yung ecu. parang restart lang nangyari.

kung blinking N na, may tama na yung tranny. best solution para sakin, palit tranny ng surplus. dami na kasi ako nakita repair kit ginagamit pero after 6 months or so, ayun sira ulit. palit buo na lang para tapos ang problema.

Siguro, try mo i-reset yung ecu by removing your battery terminals for a minute or so. Done that on our old subic grandis and it does the trick. pero much better after doing that, punta ka na kagad sa Casa for them to diagnose it properly.HTH

What causes the problem kaya and what's the blinking of N (neutral) D (drive) light all about? ANY RECOMMENDATIONS?

I have a 97 Glxi AT.. Once nangyari na sakin yan pero di naman siya nag stall. Ayaw lang tumakbo ng maayos. Then the 1st owner told me na palit palitin ko lang daw yung relays sa TCU. So I did what he advised me to. Presto.. Nawala ang blinking. Isang relay pala ang sira na. Try mo lang pap's. baka umubra.
