    My 1992 Lancer GLXi (ECI)(manual) having problem in Idling.
    Hindi nagpa-function ang Idling Speed Control motor nya. Tulong po pano paganahin to. I tried to check the functionality of the Sensor and the motor itself using an OHMMeter Tester and its OK with regards to its required resistance. I check also the voltage supply from the motor connector and I did not get any output voltage.

    Ang alam ko e dapat gagana ang idling motor nya during cold start and A/C on to compensate the engine load but unfortunately bumababa ang IDLE kaya ang lakas ng vibration kapag naka A/C on at the stop condition.

    Mga sir baka po may maii-recommend kayong lunas or mechanic.

    must be the servo kit. eto ang classic na sirain ng ganong generation of mitsus..

    We have the same car.
    I thought 'twas the ECU or the sensor but found out a broken plastic gear sa idle motor.

    Try buy another Idle motor sa surplus to replace it if found na sira talaga ang gear.
    If not sira, Disconnect the the battery for at least 30sec or more to reset the ECU.

    Kung sensor ang probs, hindi ma-off ang check engine nito.
    I just disconnect the sensor and run the car.
    Then again, don't know kung nareset or loose connection lang.
    Afterwards ok na eto.

    But I am sure could be the damned plastic gear of Idle motor.
    Two times na ako nagpalit nyan, sira uli ang nasa akin ngayon kaya inangat ko nalang ang idle pero aksaya din ng gas.
    Walang magawa dahil wala naakong nakitang Idle motor dito sa Davao

    Di kaya ng mekaniko mo ang ECU probs, bibigay klang sa Electrician na walang alam sa ECU
    Kaya ingat baka lalong masira eto.

    Ingat ka din sa kakatest mo, dahil ginawa ko yan noon.
    Sunog ang OP amp IC or Drive Circuit of A/C.

    Bukas may bago akong car...
    So bye bye sa aking Lance after 10 years ko siyang nakasama.

    And to add,
    Tagal ko ng nag eksperimento with that Idle problem.

    I plan to put a parts from non Direct Injection Car.
    I don't know the correct part name.
    A small device kung may papasok na hangin hahatakin nya ang cable ng accelerator.

    A combination na parang gate valve to switch-on the above device.
    Then the gate valve can be switch on from AC compressor power supply.

    Got all the parts i needed but no time 'til nasanayan ko na mataas ang idle ng makina.

    OT:
    I did repair the ECU two times 6 years ago, biglang patay ang makina.
    Casa quote me 17k for the ECU.
    So ako na ang nagrepair.
    The probs is, japs use an Electrolytic Capacitor that leak after more than 4 years of usage.
    The internal oil of Capacitor runs to the board.
    After the oil dry mixed of dirt create a very high resistance connection to nearby parts.
    That resistance cause little heat sa start and carbonize them then become low resistance.
    Ma short circuit na ang power supply parts ng board kaya sunog.

    Thanks sa good input and advice, Yong Gear ng motor ko is still intact at walang sira even yong sensor is ok kasi namamatay naman ang CHECK ENGINE e. I'll try yung first advice mo then the next one, BTW san ko ba makikita ang ECU board?

    Sir, I tried to diconnect the battery terminal (-) for 30 secs but still idling is not functioning.
    I disconnect the sensor and start the engine then the CHECK ENGINE light was not turn off, meaning ok ang sensor.
    I tried also to clean the throtle valve area and the idle was go high as from 750 to 1500 rpm. I thought it was ok na at gumana na ang idle motor, kaya lang di pa pala... hayyy nakuuuu.... tumaas lang pala idle kasi nalinis yong throtle valve as in gumanda ang vacuum or ang air intake nya.

    Mga sir, baka po may mga nakakaalam pa kung pano gagawin, tulong po para mas less gastos. Kung meron pong replacement or convertion sa idle motor na pwede, paki PM po kung anong parts kelangan.

    San po ba makikita ECU box/board ng lancer 1992 glxi at pano po tanggalin?

    Sorry to hear that the problem still there.
    Forgot to add that our car is known for the erratic idle problem.

    The ECU located at the Right Side wall, nasa banadang ilalim ng dashboard.
    tangalin mo ang plastic(cowl) to access the box.
    Just carefull with the sockets, could be brittle.

    I will try to check and remove on sunday. Wala po bang problema kung tanggalin yon, balik din po ba sa dati if ever na wala akong galawin sa ECU except dun sa pag tanggal.
    I will update you what ever happen.

    So far wala naman probs sa akin disconnecting the ECU nth times.
    Ma reset lang uli ang ECU to default setting.
    Ingat lang sa linis kung baka may matanggal na electronic parts.
    try ko pag uwi check my net files.
