The Lancer GLS also uses a 6-speed INVECS-III CVT.

Its the 2006-2007 Lancer 2.0 GT that had a 4-speed A/T(INVECS-II), looks like the old CVT and the more powerful 4G63 2.0 liter engine wasn't a perfect match.

The old CVT, AFAIK, wasn't built to handle the torque loads generated by 2 liter engines. Just as with the Jazz/City CVT (which is why there are no CVT Civics here...)

I think the 4 speed A/T (INVECS-II) is not CVT. Rather, its the normal run of the mill automatic.

And that's what AG4 is saying. He's saying that the 2.0 GT did not have CVT. But the 1.8 MX did.

Note, sabi niya "wasn't". Meaning it isn't there.

04 Lancer GLX A/T and M/T???
