Yesterday I went to watch Mission Impossible 3 at Rockwell and the movie was pretty good. What pissed me off was the couple behind me, it seems like the girl was an idiot because her husband had to explain everything to her, and the girl really seem to be an idiot because she acknowledges whatever her husband say by repeating it. This is aside from ocassionaly kicking the back of our chair. Now i remember why i stopped wtaching movies for 4 months, it's because of this inconsiderate peopel.

Then right after the commercial sez to put your phone on silent and be considerate of other people, a cellphone start ringing for 20 seconds. Nice.

One of the reasons why I rarely watch movies at the cinema - so many distractions e.g. noisy movie goers (okay lang pag kids watching a movie for kids), celfones ringing, people who like to walk sloooooowwww while going to an inside row of seats (nano-nood habang naglalakad), etc. Ang asar na asar ako eh yung person na napanood na yung movie pero umulit tapos kinukuwento dun sa mga kasama nya.

In short, marami talagang inconsiderate movie goers.

last movie na napanood ko sa cinema Underworld Evolution mga january pa. for some reason, I lost the enthusiasm of the cinema experience. i'm just bored stiff na siguro with that type of past time. even with this MI-3 hysteria going on, natatamad pa din ako.

last full show, less than 20 people inside the cinema, tapos may nag kukwentuhan sa may bandang likod namin, not directly mga a few chairs to the left, ang lakas pa ng kuwentuhan nila, hindi man connected sa movie....

that's why we watch movies either on a weekday or last full show lagi. nakakainis manood kapag madaming tao and with all the what not's mentioned above.

so far i've had the best experience at Sta. Lucia's newly renovated cinemas...ang ganda at sarap ng seats.=) and what's more...P90 lang. hehehe. i've watched about 10 movies already and no bad experience/s so far...at ang mga tao sa sta. lucia ang aga umuuwi kaya wala nanonood mashado. hehe.

    Aray...aaaahhh! ****! Sakit! Tinamaan ako!

Yeah.

Guy below: Si <insert guy name here> bading!
    Guy (gay?) above: Che!

Buti nalang konti yung nanonood (it was The Village BTW). Anyway, bihira naman akong makinood ng movies sa kanila. They tend to pick rubbish movies if we're together (one group has seen Good Movie#1, the other has seen Good Movie #2, both want to see Good Movie #3 pero R-18, kaya ang natitira si Rubbish Movie).

If you want to watch a blockbuster movie with very few people around the theater, I suggest Robinson's Pioneer.

Add to that...on the 2nd week of the movie. Hehehe. I wasn't planning but i watched MI-3 last weekend at Robinson's Pioneer, and aside from the children asking about the movie, you have these people talking as well and keep flipping their phones to check messages. Hayy..badtrip!

These annoying jologs are the reason why i try as much as possible to watch movies only at the GB3 (reserved seats) cinemas. And avoid cinemas where jologs use to watch...dahil muntik-muntikan na ko mapaaway. Though, not a guarantee na walang istorbo, at least maliit chance.

My kids and I figured out that if we saved the money we would have used for movie tickets and snack food (softdrinks/juice, popcorn, chips), we could buy a new original disk of a movie when it is released about 2 or 3 months later. Then, we can watch it over and over again in the comfort and safety of our own home, with no annoyances.

We just have to delay our gratification a little bit. Besides, the one and only semi-decent cinema complex in Urdaneta still falls FAR below our standards.

I agree. Kaya nga maraming tao na ang naglalagay ng HT of some sorts sa mga bahay nila. For the sake of conversaton, let's do a simple breakdown for a family of five who comes from....oh..Bulacan. They would be watching a movie at Robinsons.

    Gasoline: let's say P 500
    Toll-fees: P 84 (balikan)
Parking: Around P 50 for for 4-5 hours
    Movie tickets: let's say * P 120 pax
    In-movie food: mga P 300.
Late lunch (after the movie): mga P 1,500 na lang
    Total: P 3,034

At this amount of money, makakabila na ng generic DVD player.

However, going out with the wife and kids at least once a month is good - this would be bonding time that can be priceless.

    Unforgettable movies:

Young Frankenstein (1974) - Mel Brooks comedy.

Modern Times (1936) and The Great Dictator (1940) - Charlie Chaplin films re-released in the 70s.

Gone With The Wind (1939) - saw this at SM in the 1990s.

    -----------------

Movies I watched in the cinema where the audience clapped:

    Jaws (1975) - "Smile, you son of a -"

RoboCop (1987) - "Nice shootin', son. What's your name?" "Murphy."

    Titanic (1997) - the ending.

The Godfather Part 3 (1990) - the ending with the Cavalleria Rusticana
    music.
