i saw a newsreel/docu featuring her giving some fishermen some bancas. It was all good until she made them swear against mining. Kinda underhanded imho.

Im against to those small scale mining. Their lack of waste management can destroy environment in no time.

We live in a highly-mineralized area. We should take advantage of that.
There are many good suggestions here already like processing it here instead of exporting the raw ore.

Also, let us prohibit small-scale mining. Contrary to popular belief, it does not benefit the small miners. It just put them in a high-risk situation due to lack of proper safety gears.

But it the end it boils down to proper regulation. Kahit pa anung klaseng mining yan, kung hindi mo babantayan, mas malaki ang magiging pinsala kesa sa benepisyo.

The government should also bring in support industries for mining to process the raw material into finished products.
