Traffic is horrendous and every night I pass by that war zone there seems to be an accident which makes things x2 worse.

dati ng ganyan jan...kaya kung pa-Imus dasma mas mabuti pa mag-alabang,then mag-daang hari, labas mo na Imus.
pero kung parosario-cavite city, no choice talaga....
It's the new flyover, you got 2 partitions (1 for Las Piņas and the other for Bacoor) and each partition winds up with about 3 to 4 lanes during heavy traffic. When you get to the end, it narrows to 2 lanes and the LP lane is blocked (for whatever reason) by a series of barriers forming an arch. This area is the bottle neck and vehicles fight it over to get through. Sometimes there are some guys going to Cavite that block the LP route holding everyone else up. Then you got the other vehicles who still pass under who try to edge their way to the left which doesn't help at all.
Last night there 2, yes 2, buses that stalled at that bottle neck.
Whoever planned that should be executed due to poor planning and implementation. They should block the middle part so that all the Cavite bound people will be on the right partition and all the LP bound people will be on the left partition as per the signs.
This really sucks and I also have to put up with this crap every single day. Maybe I should move to someplace better...
Based on my experiences, balasubas kasi ang ilang drivers na papuntang Cavite,- palaging bina-block ang linya papuntang Las Pinas....(After that kasi,- wala nang traffic along Zap-Alab Road, so practically free flowing ang left lane going to LPC)

I agree with him! ⌃
They don't help at all.
It was still hell last night thought on Wednesday it was clean as a whistle. Go figure.
You see how bad the system is? That definitely adds to the traffic! I mentioned that but wasn't able to elaborate.Originally Posted by flakez
This is the reason why I favor dividing the 2 sections on the bridge the left is strictly for LP and the right strictly for Cavite. That way there will be no way that one can swerve and block into the other. Also, the LP people should no longer be able to pass on the under side to prevent blocking the Caiteņos.
It took them close to 7 years to get that bridge operational, I wonder how long it will take for them to figure the solution out. Another 7 years maybe? Or they probably don't care since they were already paid off.
If I go straight along Coastal and don't take LP exit on the right will it still lead to LP?
During rush hours, one can still use the old highway portion (going straight). Then upon reaching the overpass, there is a division (detour) where one can turn left to Bacoor/Las Pinas. If you go straight, you'll end up in Kawit. After turning left, you can inch your way to the Las Pinas access road.
Remember, this is only during rush hours.
On normal hours, they close it so that traffic coming from the Kawit/Cavite City using the Cavitex can go straight into Coastal, and not make a U-turn below the interchange. I think they are still doing this scheme because the interchange is not completed yet. Upon completion, we should be using the interchange.
There are additional plans also of widening the road before the Shell gas station. This involves transferring the informal settlers in that area. IMHO, this would greatly help in de-clogging that particular choke point during rush hours.
Unfortunately, yes, and you will be contributing to the traffic blockage as you will be forced to go from the right most lane and cut through the vehicles going to Cavite from the bridge to get to the left side to go to LP. This is even more risky when there is no traffic as if you chance upon a speeding vehicle during that dramatic lane change, you may be in a major accident.
This is the reason why I think it's better to block off the lower road to strictly Cavite traffic only then a divider at the bridge to the lane to LP only leads to LP and not split with Cavite.
On the up side though, the parabolic barricade at the end of the bridge is now smaller and it may be possible to pass straight to the turn to Alabang Zapote depending on the traffic blockage. Best if they got rid of it altogether though.
Holy crap they really need to sort out that portion of the road!! The road is bumpy as hell, especially the Las Pinas exit.
That's why for the meantime, I'm avoiding Coastal Road southbound like the plague. I'd rather use Sucat Road and turn right at the Villar access road (at SM Sucat) then turn left at Gatchalian Village ending up or coming out at Naga Road then on to CAA Road. It may be more circuitous, but a lot saner and the traffic is manageable. Of course a frienship route sticker is a must to enable one to use the inner village roads.
Just when I thought things were going smoothly along Coastal again...... heavy traffic nanaman - southbound!
From the toll gates all the way til zapote - and even more horrendous for bacoor-bound vehicles!!
And I'm hearing Class 1 toll gate rates will become P29!
