Pero parang mas important sa atin ang personal comforts instead of sacrifice for a national good. Is that the case?

Pero sumusunod ba tayo sa mga traffic rules to the letter? No running of red lights? No paying off cops to avoid the hassle of a seminar?

Parang naging society tayo ng mga nakakalamang. Using money to bypass things.

At dahil dun di tayo magpapalamang din. So if our country should need us to perform the highest sacrifice would we be ready to do so?

(rememeber the line in the anthem..."ang mamatay ng dahil sa 'yo.")

This is an honest question and honesty is the best policy.

if the time and situation really calls for it, why not..

I think the other thread mentions kung ok lang ibalik ang ROTC? And not about nationalism.

If I hate and loath ROTC, it doesn't mean I hate my country in the end.

I'm willing to kill for my country more than die for it.

"...ang pumatay ng dahil sa iyo..."

    That's my sentiment.

or perhaps if the corrupt officials would line up first i would be happy to stand afar from them just to watch them go boom:giveup:

If only leaders are doing the same sacrifice as you expect, the citizen of the country will never have this mind setting. Ika nga eh, there should be a role model.

For one thing, you will see majority if not all of filipinos working/living in other countries than the philippines are a very good follower of other countries laws.

This is a question that's not easy to answer for most.

Of course, i'd be more than willing to fight for the country, knowing that in the process, i may have to give up my life.

You see, if no one will take care of our land, time will come that we won't have any land, freedom, and sanctuary.
