if you're asking what's the fair price rates of parking slot/month in mla, i think its about 4k to 5k & 2k to 3k for downtown & uptown areas respectively

you mentioned a well-know subdivision like BAV (bel air village) that they do parked on the road, are referring to public roads or privately owned roads by BAV ?

when a person buys a lot in a subdivision he is not just paying for the land in his lot, he is also paying for the land used for the roads and sidewalks, its paving and drainage systems, and other amenities in the subdivision. so in fact the homeowners are the owners of the road, they paid for it. if the homeowners allow street parking then that is their business. no matter what taxes go into maintaining the road that the city government has appropriated as public road this does not diminish the fact that the homeowners paid for that land. maintenance of the road, imho, is what the government has to pay for the privilege (some say "right") to use a road originally intended for private use only. if the government insists on removing the homeowners rights to decide then the government must refund the cost the homeowners originally paid for the land and improvements (road paving, sidewalks, drainage) adjusted to inflation. bilihin muna ng gobyerno bago siya maghari sa lupa na binayaran na ng ibang tao.

+102 disagree here. as posted above by machine.pistol as far as i know the subdivision roads become public property hence every taxpayer of this country has the right to complain as long as legit contrary what you said earlier that non residents have no "K" to complain. Hope everybody is well-informed

I agree with you.

All i know, mag-park ka lang nga ng maayos at hindi makaka-abala sa daloy ng trapiko at sa mga daanan for a predictable time is not prohibited. Unless nga lang may road sign na "NO PARKING AT THIS ROADSIDE". But to the point ginawa mo nang garahe ang pagkaka-park mo sa kalsada, i think some people may sasama ang loob o magagalit sa iyo.

There this guy whom I know for more than 2 decades in our community. He and his wife bought a second hand car (Lancer 96 model) two years ago. He always park/garage his car near a corner street fronting their house. One day they woke up, found out that his car (driver's door side)seems to be was hit by a vehicle and the door glass was broke. Since then, after 2 months, they decided to tore down a part of their house (living room) to gave more space to their frontyard to be his car garage.

For me,if allowed to park in the streets i'd just buy a 2nd hand car.a common car so as not to attract too much attention or look for another place to transfer with suitable garage.

Just wanted to post my opinion mga sir.

In the long run, having your own parking will rid you also of a lot of headaches, and also adds much value to your property versus one that has no parking of its own.

If youre in a subdivision why not? Etc. wala ka peace of mind pag ganon

If its insdie a private village its the prerogative of the homeowners association if they would allow.

But narrow public main road its should be outright illegal.

However, the Homeowners' Association should have a parking regulation in their village. And everyone should follow this set of parking regulations. Most importantly, there should be penalties for the violators.

I have room for four more vehicles in our garage (two with no roof/cover),- but I am not adding vehicle/s.

More importantly,- I do not park on the street, too, because I would lose my moral ground in demanding our neighbors not to park in front of our garage gates.
