is the world over reacting over the attack in Spain?

am just thinking out loud. "only" 200 were killed and just around 1500 were wounded in the train bombings. and yet they are even blaming their government for supporting the war against Afghanistan and Iraq - ousting the incumbent party in the recently held elections. they are saying that if they haven't supported the war they wouldn't have been the target of the said terrorist attack. the nerve for them to even compare it to 9/11.

what a bunch of pussies. and to think this country once ruled half of the world (including ours).

what do the their 200 dead compares to? the hundreds of thousands Iraqis that were killed during Saddam's regime for opposing his government? the millions of Afghans and Iraqis that are living in a backward country? the thousands that were being wiped out by famine while the Iraqi government is spending millions in nuclear technology?

Hindi naman sa body count measured yun pareng John. Its more on the terror aspect. Apparently, whoever did this succeeded. They managed to torpedo Aznar and his party as well as inflict a sort of phobia on the Spanish people.

Yung sa Iraq, it has been happening since I was a kid, so no news there. The fact that a ' peaceful' and quiet (relatively ha, i know about the Basques) place such as Madrid could be so ruthlessly attacked, is what it's all about

pk, Spain isn't that peaceful and quiet.

for years they have been constantly barraged by terror attacks from the ETA (a separatist group like the MILF). and the ETA operates like the PLA.

am just pissed off the fact that they are withdrawing their support for Iraq and Afghanistan after the elections. it goes to show that the Al-Queda has been successful in what they wanted to achieve.

Yup. Yung ETA nga yung mga separatist Basques Since dati pa nila tine-terrorize ang Spain, parang disensitized na tayo dun. "what's new?" ang dating. Since this one is apparently an Al Quaeda thing, it came as a shock to the world community coz medyo campante na tayo after Afghanistan and Iraq.

Ganyan talaga Español pare. hehe. Parang pinoy din... urong sulong. Well, natalo si Aznar e, and basic platform nung opposition is anti-war. So things just took its course.

The funny thing is, surveys show Aznar's party to be leading the opposition prior to the bombings. Well, the rest is history....

i think, 200 dead is better than none survived. pero sa tingin ko, we still have to be vigilant. terrorists keeps getting smarter and bolder or simply we are just caught off-guard? the war against terrorism had barely begun. marami pang susunod yan.

the main reason why such separatists, do such thing is to make a political statement. pardon the term, but Western Countries regarded them as "savages". add to that their false belief of "jihad" or the holy war, which is lietrally interpreted. such ambitious men, like Bin Laden, Saddam Hussein, etc. they would want to rule the entire earth, not knowing that wielding a power through terrorism would not make any difference. have they got "balls"? no, i believe they haven't got any. because brave men do not hurt the helpless. but their ideology, corrupts them any sense of well-being of such a civilized man.
