Women, don't wait too long to have babies, experts say

Medical experts speaking at the British Science Festival in Newcastle this week aren't mincing words: women who want a family should have babies before turning 35.
For most women, fertility takes a nose dive in their mid-thirties, they said. Yet recent trends in some countries, including Canada, the US, and the UK, show that women are waiting later to focus on career or to save money, experts from Newcastle University said.

While IVF treatments can help women have children later in life, their chances of success using their own eggs rather than donor eggs fall at the same rate as their fertility, they warned.
"What we can say for sure is that reproductive technologies do not do much to buy time," said reproductive biologist Professor Mary Herbert, according to The Telegraph. "Perhaps the most important message to give is that the best cure of all is to have your babies before this clock strikes 12."

"I would be getting worried about my daughter if she hadn't had a child by 35," she added.

According to WebMD, the UK's National Health Service says that about 95 percent of women aged 35 who have regular unprotected ***ual intercourse will get pregnant after three years of trying. For women aged 38, only 75 percent will do so.

Sadly though, I also know of quite a number of well-off couples who have been trying to have a child but cant. Seems to be increasing in the last few years... Or perhaps its because im in the age also where most of my peers are starting their families.

I have an Aunt who already adopted two kids as well

The cost of success... you have to work hard to get it. And once you have it, you have to work even harder to keep it. Which means no time for ****ing around.

I know of a lot of professionals who've waited till literally the last minute to have kids. 40's na. Which brings with it the increased chances of birth defects and problems like Down's and possibly Autism.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Atually stress tingin ko pinaka-factor coupled with a less vigorous health na din why those who marry in the 30's have difficulty conceiving. Kasama na ako dun, 21 yo ako nang magka-1st baby. Hindi na nasundan. wahhh
