di pa sila kasi natuto sa vietnam, never let the CIA run the show! the CIA does not care for the Geneva convention or human rights. as a matter of fact they do not even care if the information they are torturing out of those prisoners are factual (anyone under torture will say anything the torturer wants), they just want to torture, period! it's a goddam big power trip, the power to do whatever you want to another human being. that's the CIA!

meron 2 explanations dyan frank,

1. not all of iraq is desert. remember it's the "land between the rivers", euphrates and tigris. much of irag is fertile, arable land and thus planted to agriculture. those soldiers may have been assigned to the arable areas and have their green camo with them.

2. my friend in the US navy says they do not get all free uniforms. they buy their own uniforms. so since those MPs are reservists from virginia (damn red necks!) they may have just their green camo with them.

Some of the pics look faked, especially the rape scenes. Why are they wearing camouflage make-up and their fatigues look tropical? Baka screen shot galing sa isang cheap **** flick.

fake? so you are saying the report of general taguba was inaccurate? do you really think a fake photo can fool a full blown congressional investigation?

if you are going to get your picture taken raping someone, would you not make yourself irrecognizable with make up?

for the green camo uniform look up my post above. those MPs are reservists, not regular army! if you are thinking that the US army was prepared to enter that war, think again! they had to make orders for 30,000 M16A2 rifles because their regular troops were still armed with old M16A1s!!! how much more the reservists? even regular army buy their own uniforms beyond their once/year issue, it is not free! how much more the reservists? that was why they had green camo, they can't be possibly be wearing the 1 desert camo uniform they have since the army only issued them 1 pair? gets?

still on the green camo uniform, why not look at a map of iraq. a big part of it is green because a big part of it is arable. tigris-euphrates rivers, where human civilization started di ba. it's not all desert. in fact it is the most arable of all the middle east.

besides, most towns and cities are in oases (tama ba, plural ng oasis?)

another thing, the alleged atrocities happened in the period october-december last year. those are the rainy months of the year in that part. i've been in oman when it rained (november-january), the desert turns green with plants you at first did not know were there. it just blooms! it was just like as if someone had gone crazy with a zillion-zillion seeds and it all came to life at the same time. it might just be the same case over there in iraq. maybe.

The pictures that were used in Taguba's report came from three CD-R in the custody of the Pentagon. Taguba's report is about prison abuse in Abu_Ghraib. Apparently the rape pictures didn't come from those same discs. These were e-mailed to the website. All the abuses were done in Al-Ghraib prison. Why were the rape scenes done outside? For all I know it could have been shot in Death Valley. And the abuses were commited by Military Police guarding the prison, who appears properly dressed in desert fatigues. If you can show me a pic from the 60 minute report showing a US soldier in the prison wearing the same fatigues as the rape scene, that would be better. Don't accept the website as authentic, it looks cheap.
