Sobrang mahal sa A1. To give you an idea, 10 hours is roughly Php9,100.00.

Mag-eenroll si commander sa AAP (Automobile Assoc. of the Philippines) driving academy next week. Balitaan kita. Php5,xxx for 10 hours with automatic AAP membership (free towing and emergency service plus free side mirror etching).

AAP rin ang vote ko. Educated driving ang goal nila unlike the commercial driving schools that you mentioned. Plus, you get free AAP membership for 1 year which covers 2 cars. Nga pala, you get to choose your schedule. Check their website http://www.aaphilippines.org

I attended the two lectures required by the AAP prior to the actual driving lessons (sinamahan ko si commander).

The lectures were good since they used videos derived from AAA (AAP's U.S. counterpart). The lecturers were pretty competent also. AAP also gave out manuals which are pretty useful to a newbie. Her 'classmates' included medreps and truck drivers that were sent by their employers for formal training.

Since membership is automatic, nakalibre kami ng side mirror etching para sa Starex. May free towing at emergency service pa si commander in case may mangyari while she is driving (try finding a driving school with extra service like that!).

Two days of driving na lang graduate na si commander. hehe. The good news, is natuto naman (I had her enrolled in the A/T class).

P.S. pwede nga mamili ng schedule. 1-2 hours per day ang driving.

10 day course si commander: Php5500.

sa socialites qc cubao alimall area, socialites qc near aurora blvd., also satellite near aurora blvd too. makati socialites meron din. my suggestion mas ok kung 2hours ang practice kahit everyother day. para madaling mapractice. also practice makes perfect.

After nga pala ng AAP driving lessons using a Corolla, diresto Starex na si commander.

Eh wala naman masyado alam sa pagmamaneho iyon nung araw so I guess the AAP program does work.

Yung mga kuya niya [no formal driving school training] hirap pa din magdrive ng sasakyang mas malaki kaysa 5-door hatchback or compact SUV.

I am not saying they're the best, pero A1 has good facilities.

    Mahal din sila.....

Si Kumander, sa Socialites nag-aral,- ayos din naman.....

    Bump ko lang to.

Went to AAP today to enroll the mrs. Nabulaga kami, sabi nila sarado na raw driving school nila.

Anyone hear about this? I'd be interested to know what happened. Sayang, highly recommended pa naman, even outside this forum.

Galing ng timing namin. Nung huling pumunta ako dun late May para magpa-rehistro, meron pa e.

Yup. Tumawag nga sila sa amin to tell that they are closing (kahit graduate na si commander).

Ang sabi board decision daw ng AAP ang closure ng driving academy.

Ewan ko lang, parang smells like something fishy. Baka naman may ari ng driving school ang isang AAP board member? hehehe.

Man, that sucks! I agree, there's probably more to this.

10 hours for P4.3k. M/T class yon, masyadong mahal yung A/T, 9k e. Anyone have any feedback on this school? Ngayon pa nagtanong no, kung kelan nakapag-enroll na. Anyway, post ko na lang din yung experience namin sa school na to.
