Not as bad as you think.

Yes there's that really distinct smell especially after a long day. But it's only apparent when you're in cramped spaces like airplanes. After a few minutes it settles down and you don't notice it as much anymore.

They are very conscious of it. Singdami ang pampabango commercials nila sa pampaputi sa atin. Pero kung ayaw talaga paawat gantihan mo na lang ng utot

Depends on where you are. I'm in a budget supermarket now and have been here for 30 min and the smell has not faded away.

But when I'm in a more cosmopolitan part of town or in my hotel, the smell is barely noticeable.

Also got to try their version of the OTJ (some Mahindra jeep) and the ride is really good.

They are few Vioses (Yaris) here and the most common car is the Swift Dzire, but Toyota also has an equivalent model, the Etios with a 1.2L engine and slightly less space than the Vios.

They also don't have Hiaces here - the common van for group travels is the Force Traveller, essentially an aircon jeepney:

I used to ride that, it's 2 hours usually, 1.5 pag light traffic, 3 hours pag Friday payday/long weekend.
