I was on an M2 and yes, the speed limiter kicks in at 250. And, yes, there is an option to unlock it.

Nice! I have been there once but only for a short stopover as we were traversing Tennessee on our way to North Carolina.

We drove from Chicago passing Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, and then North Carolina (Pinehurst).
