Are there really places people go just to be seen or because it's hip? I think that's crazy. I go to a place if I want the food/drink. I don't care what others think

Yeah i agree. I dont think naman starbucks or CTBL is for social climbers. They probably go there cause its clean, comfortable, accessible, have nice coffee smells, have good coffee and snacks and is relaxing.

I just dislike it if people buy a cup of coffee there, and stay the whole day to study or read.

It snowed today. Too cold for the autumn clothes I packed. Last month i was complaining how hot turkey was in this thread so i guess i deserve this haha

I'm not a coffee drinker anymore but I still love the smell of coffee.

I just dislike it if people buy a cup of coffee there, and stay the whole day to study or read.

I used to do this back in the mid 2000s at UCC Forbes Town. I don't stay as long as 4 hrs naman and I order a full meal. BGC wasn't BGC then, mostly talahiban pa. I like that they have an airconditioned area where I can study while eating and smoking and the place is always empty. I can't study or read when there are many people.

I wonder what satisfaction do people who want to be seen get from that. The people who see them don't even know them, so why should it matter. And even if they see someone they know, so what naman diba? hehehe

I will never understand because I prefer going to places with as few people as possible and do not want to be seen by anyone I know.
