Price difference of 18K and 14K is just around 10K which is also roughly the same price difference as upgrading one color rating whiter. Just need to know which one is the better option to take..

18K has a nicer shine of gold, than 14K. i prefer it.
but if you are going to rhodium-plate it, it does not matter what you choose, as both will look identical afterward.
i do not rhodium-plate. it doesn't look like gold afterward. it, to me, looks like... bright stainless steel!
