Yes, full stop esp at school zone. But sometimes no (but with full awareness) during night time and not in familiar area.

I always try to, most of the time I do. If I'm not familiar I usually slow down so that makes it easier for me to stop also. If I overshoot it and nobody's behind me, and some pedestrians are crossing, I back up - it is just common road courtesy to do so. Respect them, they respect you. Not only on pedestrian crossings but on sidewalks when pedestrians are walking. I let them pass first then enter when it's clear and I can move on.

before the pedestrian crossing dapat. there is what is called the "limit line", that solid white line before a pedestrian crossing. vehicles should never go beyond the limit line when stopped before a pedestrian lane. it is a traffic violation to cross the limit line when the light is red, and i think a driver can even be charge with a criminal offense for endangering the life of pedestrians when his vehicle goes beyond the limit line. sadly it is not enforced in the philippines.

I always follow the traffic light... but when it's 3am and I have a clear wide view and I can see that no one's crossing, I stop for a moment, look left and right, and proceed slowly.

i do slow down even when theres no pedestrian crossing but then if it is really clear to speed up then i'll accelerate again. no point to totally stop if no one is crossing.
