If you were in the states or some other countries pwede mong iwan sasakyan mo kung san ka inabot ng inuman at balikan mo na lang the next day.
Try doing that here, if you're lucky enough, only side mirrors and center caps will get stolen. Or worse the whole vehicle might be snatched from where you left it. But for me, I'd rather drive at a snail pace back home much safer.
And I don't think that 20km/h ride back home after a couple of bottles would create an accident scene. That's 20kph NOT 20mph. The previously posted 10 bottles was a drinking spree at a bachelor's party with designated non-drinking driver holding the steering wheel to drop us back on our own pads.
*Edit: Btw, what's with the all caps post?
Another point is , if alam ninyo na nanakawin sasakyan ... di mag taxi at huwag mag drive , if meron DD ( duty driver ) hinde ito duty drunk ha , thats a smart move , pero lkike sa mga replies earlier , walang sinabi na duty driver nagmaneho kundi " kaya ko pa magmaneho " ... PEACE .

tama ka DSM ... don't drive when you drink..
but honestly, I broke this law about 15 years back...first job with a pick-up service at ang promotor ng paginom namin ang visor pa...drink to the max. So paguwi ko ng los banos from san pablo....i race my car (around 2 or 3 am) sa balay-hangin (its a zigzag hill area na medyo forest at bangin ang ilang portions for those who don't know).....hayup sa adrenalin rush.....
Back then mas alisto ako pag lasing when I drive pero that was very, very, very BAD and I don't recommend it at all to anyone.
Nowadays iba na ako malasing.....I get horny
So iwas na ako gaano sa alcohol....lalo na if i'm going to drive back home pa.

pag lasing - madaldal
pag lasing na lasing - lalong madaldal
pag sumobra na sa lasing (lango na) - madaldal pa din, pero di nyo na mai-intindihan sinasabi ko.
Nai-intindihan nyo ba ko? hik!

You have a point, and I respect the way it is. :D
I don't have to wash my hands to often. But from my experience since I knew how to drink, many people still practice DUI. We all know that it is wrong. And you are right to remind people of the wrong cause they're doing. Let's simply put that some people cannot turn a down a drink or two from close friends or relatives (pakikisama ba?). It is up to that person to know his limit when he can still drive back safely home. One thing for sure mature people do often drink and drive here but get home safely, I don't know about the younger generations if they use their minds to think that way.
I think we are comparing drunk level in a different way. What I mean by being drunk is: you still know the keys to your car, you still know how to count coins, and you can still walk in a straight line. Guess what, I searched for the meaning of it came out the word sober. Peace!
