    since routers come with built in switches, yes you can share files, printers, etc. but the thing is they only provide physical connections. you will have to setup your computer's file and printer sharing depending on the OS. it's just a breeze when you have a windows xp since it will configure everything almost automatically. do a search on google, type "file and printer sharing" and you'll get all the resources you need.

    when you purchase your router, make sure you get the one with the 4 port switch. built in na yon.
