Usual in-flight turbulence is about the worst flying experience I had.
I also hate having small kids & babies in ear-shot range of where I am sitting. Thankfully I have sound-proof earphones to connect with my music player or laptop/tablet (watching movies).
One of my flying fears is while having meals (or when hot drinks is served to my neighbors) the plane would hit major air turbulence that would knock over all the food and drinks all over the place. So far, this haven't happened but it's a possible event in any flight.
I travel often every 6 weeks...lagos-dubai-manila. worst experience? delayed flights, turbulence. travel regularly with chopper too going for field inspections, the bumpy chopper flight was not that pleasant as it looks![]()
Worst experiences would be
1. A baby spoiling her diapers in the middle of the flight's nap time. The smell filled the cabin and woke up a lot of people. Better than getting vomited on I guess.
2. Getting a seat beside rude passengers and seat reassignment is not possible. Nothing can be done on stinking passengers, no matter how offensive their aroma is.
almost christmas 1975 on a flight from cebu to bislig, stormy weather but i had to fly to spend christmas with the family. about 45 minutes into the flight, we hit the eye of the turbulence. at that instant, engine number one of the philippine fokker (left engine) stalled making the aircraft list to the left. the aircraft shook, vibrated and was having difficulty getting out of the mess. the lady to my left on the aisle seat was trying to make the sign of the cross from forehead to her belly and repeatedly doing the same thing not being to do the sign of the cross. i could't help but laugh, she got mad and was cussing me out (imagine a supposedly religious person cussing at you), i said to her, if you die, i die too. it was a matter of luck and survival. we made it to land after three attempts at the approach
Come to think of it, I did have a bad flight experience. It was from a child seated directly at my back, kicking on my seat. What made it worse is that I am very air sick. I was waiting for the Dad to saway his child but it never happened so after 30 mins or so I talked to the Dad already. The same family had another child that was crying almost the whole time during the flight.
Generally, if the plane isn't fully packed, you can transfer to another seat far away.
Inflight worst experience, malfunctioning seat entertainment system in a long fully booked flight (+10 hrs).
Ground worst experience nothing beats flight delays and cancellation, horrible connecting flights and of course when security swabs in your hands and carry on baggage registered positive on something banned.
Worst flight? Weather suddenly changed from sunny to storm like clouds with lightning storms. That time, i was flying solo in a Cessna 172 light aircraft. It was scary as f*ck.
DXB to MNL, I was seated near the window and in the middle seat near me was an oversize behemoth encroaching already in my space and worst snores like hell.
Grabe, hirap na nga gumalaw at sumandal sa isang side lang hirap pa makatulog dahil sa hilik ng isang higante.
Asked for re assignment but all seats were occupied including business because its a peak season.
Going home from Busuanga. Plane was the ATR series o yun turboprop kung tawagin. Malapit na sa Terminal 3 at hindi swabe yun descend ng plane. Ang sakit sa ulo tapos sa may likod na kami nakaupo at ang init ng aircon pa!
Huge FAs bumping my head with their hips while I was asleep.
FA poured red wine on my kahi pants around crotch area and she cleaned it with towel, soda and water for about 10 to 15 mins it felt stranged.she gave a bottle of wine (same brand) when I got off.
Plane with engine trouble we were asked to turn around while avout to take off.
Cancelled flights but were given free hotel accommodation and meals.

Mostly air turbulence lang sa akin. Nothing serious in my 25 years of working overseas.
bad trip lang yung nung nakatira pa ko sa san diego, 3 times ako na-body search kasi duda sila bakit daw every month ang byahe ko.
Thankfully my bad flight experiences are relegated to delays in bad airports, missing connecting flights, and lost luggage.
For those whom i personally know, my Tito (who's like my father already) experienced losing an engine and having to dump their cargo into the open sea along with the AV gas (the dead bodies were kept on board though)... with the military plane they were on barely making it back to Cebu Mactan. They almost had to ditch into the sea that time.

worst commercial airport landing i experienced was at tegucigalpa international airport in honduras. the place is surrounded by terrorists who would attempt to down your plane. it is in the valley between high peaks and approach was at higher altitude and had to nose dive to the runway. everybody had to brace their heads against the seat in front, hug your thighs while preparing and landing. the plane hits the ground, have to come to a full halt in ten seconds and make a turn around to the air terminal. this is the second most dangerous airport in the world second only to bhutan airport
Small plane virtually making a u turn in the air while descending rapidly with the tyres making contact a few seconds after... Napamura ako.... it was good nobody in the plane understood....
On another flight, We dropped a few meters with some of the food and drinks on our lap as a result.
Still another flight, plane suddenly aborted take off when we are about to lift off.... Real scary...
Another flight, the engine 'exploded'as explained to us by the FA, not sure but there was a big bang while we were rolling and in the last corner before take off...
pinaka delikado sa airplane ay ang fog. hindi yan lilipad kung grabe ang fog.
