You would be surprised at how many of the bosses here don't know sh1t about what the staff are doing
Karamihan pirma lang ng pirma, pag pumutok papagalitan yung staff. That is why my boss has my respect
And he is so kind not to get mad at me, he understood that I only covered for someone...

Sadly, kapag nakakakita ako ng mga matatanda sa lansangan, either namamalimos, nakatira sa kalsada or nagtatrabaho pa, all I could do is to pray for them. It also applies to those innocent kids that are victims of poverty because of their parents. I'm praying that even though di sila yumaman, atleast keep them safe always. Minsan pinipigilan ko lang din maiyak.
If ever we shed tears for them bro, its still manly tears. :hysterical:

Your positivity is an inspiring thought in this beautiful Saturday morning bro CVT.
Like you, I really admire those who don't have the world handed to them in a silver platter yet still strive so hard, especially in terms of their education.
Reminds me of the kid from a GK community that I used to tutor. He really dreamt of getting into UP for college. Unfortunately he didn't make it but he messaged me recently on Facebook that he still hasn't given up on his dream of a college degree and is now a freshman at PUP. Hopefully his dedication helps turn his life around one day, and perhaps even be able to give back to the community and others like him.

We haven't seen any rain in two weeks. Hopefully the monsoon season is over and we can settle down to a cooler, drier climate which typifies winters here.
Monsoon season usually ends in late August or early September. This year has been totally out of whack.
I'm also thinking how different the neighborhood is. The big housing crash of 2008 must have affected many of my neighbors back then. Now? There's only 2 or 3 houses where I recognize the tenants. The rest, I don't know who they are. For those who had to give up their homes and leave, I hope they're doing okay.
The navy veteran across us is still there as is the sheriff (farther down the street). Then, there's the quiet young couple next door to the navy vet. That's it. Everybody else I knew back in 2008 are gone.Last edited by Jun aka Pekto; October 18th, 2014 at 10:30 PM.

Mortality.
My ex's batchmate dropped dead after a jog. He was only 41, looks fit and had no vices. How could someone who exercises regularly and eats healthy just drop dead? He and his wife just had a baby 3 months ago. This is not the first case I heard of someone dying after exercise. Now I am scared to exercise because I am not in perfect health! It scares me to think about how life can end so abruptly.
