Are styrofoams used on iceboxes fire hazards? Or are they made w/ those fire retardant mixtures already?

some modern styrofoam products may have fire retardant already.
    others may not have, yet.

one way to find out, is to get a small sample and set fire to it.

Foam injected material used in iceboxes are not flame retardant. Better use a fiber cement board or if you could take some acoustic board of the dropped-ceiling in the office.

Or a dual-sided aluminum foam insulation, they are fire retardant and cost less than P100 per meter at Ace/Wilcon.

I guess it should be heat-proof as the bash plates are near the sump and exhaust manifold. Those alum foam aside from noise insulation, when grounded helps shield from static and cosmic energies. They come in different thickness.
