    The same happened to us as well. Kinda fascinating and disgusting at the same time. We ended up burning the book out of spite.

    January 2019 I told my boss that I was going to the US, I asked if I can "work from home" in the US (same salary, employed by PH but located in the US). My boss (VP) and his boss (Director) who are both based in Europe easily agreed on this arrangement, BUT since I am located in Manila, we still needed the agreement of HR Manila. That's when the problem started because Feb 2019 we found out that WFH arrangement is a maximum of 3 months. So my bosses decided to transfer my ID to New York. However, they did not have enough time because earliest would be August and my VISA expires in May, and then they found out that since I am located in IL and our office is in NY, there will be problems in terms of taxation because I have to be located in NY.

    Mar 2019 week 2 the only option would be for me to take a Sabbatical leave. When an employee takes a sabbatical leave, the employee is technically resigned from the POSITION and when the employee returns, it is his or her job to find a new position. My boss (VP) and Manila VP assured me that they will save the position for me and guaranteed that it will still be mine when I come back. I do appreciate that they did everything to keep me.

    Everything changed Tue night (March 2019 week 3) I dunno how high up the ladder who saw this pero they found an opportuniy for cos cutting na ilipat na sa India. 2016 pa lang kasi dissolved na yung team namin sa Manila at nilipat na sa India. That was he reason why dapa mag expat ako sa HQ bec my then boss (Alpha VP) put his foot down on Management na eiher Cathy is transferred to HQ or she stays in Manila (ibang story pa yun) 2017 Q3 my Alpha VP got sick and had to let go of his team so New (current) VP took over. 2018 new VP was questioned again by upper mgt bakit may head count pa sa Manila so he added another head count para maging 2 kami. Last week the other head count resigned, sinabayan pa sabbatical ko, so that was when management saw the opportunity na tuluyan na tanggalin sa Manila, nag announce pa ng possible merger kaya todo tipid sila. So that is why hindi ako pwede ma redundant. Re resignation, I have to fly on the last week of May kaya I need to file my resignation by Friday for the 60 days notice.

    BTW, I told my boss, kung hindi rin lang naman ako under niya, magre resign na lang ako. I am used to being under HQ and I do love my job/position. I don't want to go back to report preparation or projects.
    kung todo tipid sila malamang isasakay ka lang nila sa jetblue or southwest, yun may mga erpolanong Boeing 737 Max 8 , Sa US na lang ata allowed yun controversial budget plane na yan eh

    Your former office buddies may have inadvertedly saw what's coming. That's why they are gone.
    The office movement to downsize months ago should have been a warning sign to you.
    You see where loyalty left you? If wala ka ng babalikan. Bakit ka pa mag 60 days notice?
    The will operation to india anyway so given na lahat ng employess eh wala na.

    Oo nga pag sinabii sayo na mag tatransfer sila sa India, ibig sabihin nun mag resign ka na.

    kasi alam ng Indians na amoy natin sa kanila ay curry, at ang amoy nila satin ay chicken .
    You gonna order a lot of chicken curry sa mga canteens nila thats for sure

    Seriusly ms cath, go on whatever makes you happy...
    At the end, it’s your determination which will bring you to your success, be it in lovelife or career...

    Just sharing, before i left my previous company i was also in the same shoes as yours... i know there’s a lot of opportunity for me there but im not happy anymore, thats when i decided after a year that i really need to transfer somewhere with new work environment and new challenges... guess what, i chose to be happy and right now i’m able to focus on my work and goals in my life...
    been four years since i transferred and just yesterday my sup told me that he is working for my promotion and it’s already in higher authority for approval.

    I pursue what makes me happy and i open my self to new challenges... i’m not in my safe zone, coming from i.t programmer to planning and performance analyst was way too hard, it’s like going back to zero skill but with determnination and prayers, i can say that, I’m glad i made that decision...

    Just be happy, people close to you can only give you advise and still up to your decision what you want in your life... as for me, tomorrow send your resignation letter and prepare to travel to u.s and start your new life there..

    Wala pang job. Although may friends ako na willing ako i-refer. Mauuna muna ako ng ilang buwan bago sumunod ang family. Hanap muna apartment, work, etc. Kapag settled na tsaka ko sila pasundin.

    Confirm with the management kung totoo ba yung outsource to India Plan. If its true, thats your sign.

    Q1 2019 we had our highest attrition rate. I'm not kidding when I say that one team had a 50% attrition for the month of March Niloloko nga ko ng mga friends ko na ako na lang ang masaya sa trabajo ko. It's probably true kasi I like what I am doing and I have a boss who doesn't say no to me. Marami din exceptions for me such as work from home and flexi time.

    You know how I feel right now? Para akong heartbroken from a break up with a long time BF. This is 10 years of my life. Ang masakit dito, wala ng control ang boss ko because the directive came from way up the ladder. Talagang business decision and not considering the person anymore, tatanggalin na talaga Manila because India is cheaper.

    I need to do the 60 days kasi yun ang nasa contract. Saka okay lang kasi wala naman ako gagawin sa bahay if I do an "effective immediately" resignation. Kawawa din boss ko kasi kahit sila naman ayaw naman nila talaga mag outsource sa India

Kahapon nga nag SL ako dahil na upset ako sa news niya. Sa ibang boss issue na yan. But what did my boss do? Sent me a message today asking how I am feeling now. They kinda baby me, kaya kindergarten tawag sakin. Napakabait nila sakin kaya sobra din loyalty ko. Hay naku naiiyak na naman ako while typing this

    Lakas ng loob mo Buti sa NZ wala masyado racism pero sa US kinakabahan talaga ako. Saka sa US ata very competitive sila.

    I just spoke with my VP and he said confirmed na talaga. Pinaglalaban lang niya sa management, baka may magawa pang paraan to keep my role in Manila

    If not, resign na lang ako. There is no use staying in the company kung hindi sila ang boss ko.

    mas racist ang ibang pinoy sa US. pag dating mo sa us aiports, majority of airport workers are pinoys. immigration police(ICE) are pinoys, TSA are pinoys.
